I stopped by Amores Café for a take-out lunch and was excited to give it a try. The space was roomy and attractively decorated. Unfortunately, the cappuccino I ordered was too bitter and didn’t taste right. I can’t remember the name of my dish, but the deep-fried pork was tough and overcooked. The one item I would recommend is their empanada—it was perfectly crispy, and the cheese-filled option was especially delicious.

The food at Amores Café was fantastic! We tried yuca balls, empanadas, quipes, a mixed platter, chicken chimi (a sandwich-like dish), and bread pudding. Everything tasted amazing, but my top picks were the guava and cheese empanadas and the yuca balls. They also have a great selection of natural juices—we enjoyed the passion fruit and morir soñando, both delicious. The service was excellent, and we had a truly enjoyable experience.
