"I did not make a purchase for a specific reason: it's Friday and I wanted to treat my employees to some baked goods. As I was driving down Victory Blvd, which isn’t my usual route to work, I noticed a bakery called Anahit Bakery. The strip mall it was in looked a bit intimidating, but I thought I’d give a local business a chance. Upon entering, I found the place empty, with three women in the kitchen. I greeted them, and one woman came out, looked at me with a rather unfriendly expression, said hello, then asked me to hold on before turning back into the kitchen. After waiting for about 3-4 minutes without any further interaction, I found the service to be quite lacking. Perhaps I’m just not the type of customer they cater to? Their selection of baked goods was also disappointing for a Friday morning; it seemed like they were already sold out of many items. I jokingly thought they might as well have pigs rolling through the shop! If you enjoy being ignored, this is definitely the place for you. Without hesitation, I left and drove a block down to Dad's Donuts and Bakery, where everyone greeted me with a cheerful "good morning" and a smile. Now that's the kind of service that makes a difference!"

There are no wraps, no fresh cookies, muffins or the like. Mostly Mediterranean baked goods sold in bulk for catering. This is not a cafe at all like the photos on yelp suggest, they have totally changed focus.

I was walking by this bakery and caught a whiff of something delicious baking, so I decided to stop in and buy some fresh cookies. They were absolutely amazing—so soft they melted in my mouth! And at just $3.50 for a dozen, what a fantastic deal! Truly scrumptious!

The breakfast burrito is to die for! I found out about this place through a friend and wow.. it does not let you down. On Sunday mornings I like running with a few friends and we always end up here for our breakfast treat. You can tell the ingredients are really fresh and they are super friendly. You have not tried a real breakfast burrito until you try this one.

As a person with disabilities, I do my best to avoid using designated handicap spots to leave them open for those who may need them more. However, I can manage short distances. Rather than asking me nicely to move my vehicle, he chose to berate me. His attitude is unnecessary and overstepping. It’s clear he has serious issues and feels the need to control others’ lives. I strongly advise against patronizing this business. View menu

Very yummy breakfast wrap, especially considering the fact that I'm not a wrap or burrito girl. My friend took me there one Sunday after our workout, and since then I've gotten addicted. Very fresh ingredient, I like to get their russian sausage and feta combination and there's also potato and veggies in it. You have to try their Russian spicy ketchup, wow, I'm getting hungry thinking about this wrap. Very friendly service also, I highly recommend it.

This place is terrible and the service is even bad. I went to the parking lot on Saturday morning and there was an older gentleman who blocked his car 2 parking spaces. When I parked in one of the rooms, he came to my car and yelled at me. He tried to tell me that the 2 parking spaces he blocked were ONLY for his bakery (although there were no signs that the parking spaces belonged to his bakery). He didn't even want to find out if I wanted to go to his bakery. If this is the type of posture he gives the customer from the beginning, why should I apply your bakery? What's that?

I only actually knew of these guys because of the flyer they left at our door. The pictures looked DELICIOUS! So we decided to order and they deliver! How great is that? Anyway, their breakfast burritos are superb, and what makes them special is that they do not use a tortilla they use a russian flatbread as the wrap. It changes the entire tone of the food. They are very good, usually filled with egg, cheese and potatoes and then your choice of meats including russian sausage and some awesome veggie options too! Check these guys out and vote them up on yelp. Did I mention banana chocolate chip cookies? View menu

"Easily my favorite bakery in LA!!! Being French, I feel like it's so hard to find good authentic French bakeries but Lou sets the bar soooooo high! No other bakeries have topped Lou's. The croissants are *chef's kiss*, they're flaky, buttery and taste delicious EVERY TIME! I also like their chocolate bread (pain au chocolat) and eclairs, though the eclairs are much sweeter so if you're into that, definitely give them a try! I really love how they are consistent with their pastries. There was never a time when I was disappointed. Now keep in mind they get very busy on the weekend, the wait can be long like 20 mins, especially if you order sandwiches (which by the way, are delicious too and worth it!!! I tried the chicken and turkey sandwiches and would highly recommend them). I think they run out of baguettes after 1pm or even sooner sometimes so if you want baguettes or sandwiches, definitely show up earlier. Even their drinks are so good, I always get their vanilla latte and once again, it tastes delicious e-ve-ry single time! Wanna know another thing I love about this place? The service! Every time we ordered sandwiches and the wait was long, they'd give us a heads up before finalizing our order in case we wanted to skip the sandwiches. One time, there was a mixup which resulted in us getting our sandwiches later than expected so to apologize for the wait, they offered us a croissant * * You will also often see Lou, the chef and owner, walk around and say hi to his customers. He may even sit with them and chat for a few minutes. He seems to know a lot of people in the neighborhood and that's actually how it is in France. Bakeries are in every corner and we love our bakers! Anyway I know this is now a super long review but I only have amazing things to say about this place, their food, the chef and the staff. I just wish they'd open every day"

"As an Italian, I can confidently say that nothing about this place felt authentically Italian to me, aside from a slideshow on the television and the appealing decor. A true Italian restaurant welcomes guests with warmth and hospitality. Initially, the busboy informed me that he needed to check with his manager about seating me. After some time, she approached me and seated me, and the busboy promptly ensured I had water. However, things went downhill very quickly from there. The service was atrocious, with the staff being either curt or outright rude. The only exception was the busboy in the mask, who was genuinely sweet and considerate. I have allergies to alcohol and vinegar, and when I asked several questions, the manager, who was also my waitress, confidently assured me that the artichokes were fresh and grilled. She insisted that I had nothing to worry about regarding my allergies. Sadly, this turned out to be a complete lie. The artichokes were definitely not fresh; they tasted canned or jarred, and the claim that they were grilled was simply untrue. The moment I took a bite, I could tell there was vinegar in it, causing an itchy and burning sensation on the roof of my mouth. When I got up to find the waitress and express my concerns, I was met with defensiveness. The worst part was when she admitted she couldn’t comment on the artichokes because she didn’t eat them herself, and she couldn’t get clear answers from the cooks, only that they were imported. I felt extremely uncomfortable with her dismissive attitude and lack of knowledge. Ultimately, she offered to remove the dish from my bill but insisted that these were special imported artichokes. To me, this felt like being gaslit. I continued to stress the seriousness of my allergies after just one bite of the dish. I asked her why she would serve me an artichoke if she wasn’t sure about its marinade and why my questions weren’t being answered by the kitchen staff. I was left feeling frustrated and more than tempted to leave, but out of respect for my main dish order, I decided to stay, expecting my meal to arrive soon. I ordered chicken piccata and specifically requested that no wine be used due to my severe alcohol allergy. The waitress informed me that the cook wanted me to know it wouldn’t taste the same, which was fine with me. I saw other patrons who came in after me receiving their steaks and pastas, while I sat waiting for nearly an hour. Eventually, I asked a male waiter for an update on my dish, only to be told that it needed to cook. As if I didn’t already know that. When my chicken piccata finally arrived, I was starving. I wanted to scream! I had mentioned my hunger when I arrived, yet it seemed like they either didn’t serve bread or didn’t care to offer any. I had to get up to ask for Parmesan cheese since no one bothered to offer it to me like they did for the other tables. No one ever checked on how my meal was going; I had to approach the counter to pay. As I looked around, I couldn’t believe how generously everyone else was treated, while I felt completely ignored. As I write this review, I’m dealing with a painful stomach ache, rehashing the experience in my mind. I can't understand why I wasn't asked if I needed an appetizer or dessert, or if my allergies were worsening. Nothing! To add insult to injury, my waitress apologized for the long wait after bringing my chicken, claiming it was due to accommodating a larger party. I honestly can’t believe I left a tip. I’ve never been so relieved to leave a restaurant. I will never return to this place, and I recommend that you don’t either. UPDATE THE NEXT DAY: I confirmed there was indeed alcohol and/or vinegar in my food. An hour after writing my review, I was doubled over the toilet all night. This quickly escalated into dehydration and a severe migraine. My throat and nose started closing up, and I nearly had to use my EpiPen. With allergies, reactions can be immediate or delayed, and mine come on slowly but then escalate quickly. I am absolutely miserable today and had to call off work. I am changing my rating from two stars to one star."
