"For me, dining is not just about fueling my body; it's also about the entire experience! The Ceviche Bar at Andes Cafe provided just that. Nestled in the post office in Houston, this cozy little restaurant is tucked away in the corner of the food court. I ordered the Ceviche Mixto, which featured a delightful combination of calamari, octopus, fish, sweet potatoes, and other delicious ingredients, creating a vibrant and tangy mix of textures and flavors. Sitting at the bar, I enjoyed watching the chefs as they skillfully prepared each meal. They even offered a complimentary bite-sized sample, which was a lovely touch. My meal tasted incredibly fresh and exotic, rivaling some of the best ceviche I've had in Miami. Additionally, the staff was friendly and attentive to my inquiries. The chef's passion and expertise were evident, given their background in cooking. Overall, I’m definitely looking forward to returning and trying more of their exciting dishes!"

Andes Cafe is good. The Cachapas are very tasty, made with the authentic Venezuelan meal. I do not recommend the scrambled eggs and the Arepas are Colombian, not Venezuelan. The Ceviche was very good. In general heirs, they have a good selection of Andes region food, but many of the dishes are more expensive than they should be for setting and presentation.

I sat down and ordered the Empanadas and the Pollena la Brasa. The Empanadas were some of the best I've ever had. The only downside to the meal was that my chicken was a bit undercooked when it arrived. However, I brought this to the staff's attention, and they replaced it at no extra charge. The new dish, Curry Shrimps, exceeded my expectations. Overall, the food and service were great, and I would definitely return.
