"My God, this place is fantastic. I love old rooms with character and that fits the bill. Each qaure inch of the restaurant is packed with charm and as a current bonus The decorations they have for Christmas look great. Our waitress was very friendly and often checked with many other tables. We tried two seasonal cocktails, the jolly juice was good, but the Russian gingerbread drink stops me at night dreaming of future visits. The burger I ordered was one of the best I ever had, and they certainly found a way to let Fritten stand out. They were perfectly seasoned and paired with honey mustard, were delicious. Great work Steaming Tender. I hope to visit for many years."

"By 10:45, we started to wonder where our food was. When we asked the waitress, she informed us it would take another five to ten minutes. Meanwhile, we observed people at the counter enjoying their meals, and others who arrived after us were receiving their orders. By 11 am, we decided to leave due to the extended wait. When we informed the waitress, she simply said "okay," with no apology or acknowledgment of our frustration. Just then, our food finally arrived, so we sat back down. The omelet was hot, but the quiche was at room temperature, likely reheated from earlier. The apples in the stuffed French toast were straight out of the refrigerator, cold to the touch. I inquired about the cold apples, and our waitress seemed indifferent to the issue. Thankfully, another waitress, who had delivered our food, noticed the problem and took both plates back to provide us with fresh, hot food, apologizing for the oversight. However, our original waitress never offered any apology for the delays or the quality of our meal, and we didn't receive any discount for the poor service or food. This visit was truly disappointing overall, and to top it off, you have to go outside to access the bathroom. We won’t be returning to this restaurant again."

"Wow, the young Brat, who was on the Hostess stand, will lead her family business to the ground. Typical restaurant is getting worse because they can't capture the fact that you should leave?t 10 minutes between sitting someone and arriving to their table for a beverage order. Slow and rude. The lady kissed me because I showed up for dinner at 4:00. Do you change hours when you scream?"

"Love the pizza and if you want it by the slice be aware they are HUGE! Thin, crisp crust and slightly tangy sauce. The wings are perfect and crispy — you don’t need to ask for them “we’ll done” and you might want to request a little extra sauce on the side to dip. Nice folks to talk to and it’s a very pleasant almost old timey atmosphere inside. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because delivery isn’t always available and that’s probably due to labor shortage (they don’t do Door Dash etc and I don’t blame them because it’s a major cost for a mom and pop business). "This has been my favorite Chinese food in the Palmer area since my childhood. I would give it FIVE stars but recently on a return visit during the holidays we tried the egg rolls and they were noticeably different in taste and size. Later, we learned they no longer make the egg rolls in house and the difference is noticeable. Sadly this is probably a cost issue but would love if they went back to making them like they do the wonderful crab rangoons and chicken fingers.
