"Ever since my favorite spot chuang chin on hoyt street downtown Brooklyn closed a few weeks ago I've been desperately seeking a new spot that's equally good, especially for that good flavor Chinese fried chicken........I passed this spot many times but never had the time to stop and get anything, plus usually around the time I'm passing they be busy looking. Today I did , I stopped in and , it did not disappoint .....I got the 1/2 chicken with chicken fried rice.....the food tasted fresh and it tasted good....I usually judge the spot based on the fried chicken (a go to for me ....and this place hit the spot, it was fresh and tasted like Chinese fried chicken, not just fried chicken....this hit the spot I dammm near ate the whole thing my all by myself...I'm so happy so far ....I think this might be my new spot...gotta try a few more items, like the lo mein and shrimp and broccoli , but this is definitely my new spot for Chinese fried chicken at the moment....they lady who took the order was nicce and so were the prices Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

It seems that Annie's First Wockhardt is serious about their food! They don't mess around.

Their food is nasty and expensive for no reason, I got food poisoning from them Saturday eating just 2 chicken and fries. I will never eat from here ever again in my life. View menu

This spot in the neighborhood is excellent for takeout. While it’s located near a somewhat sketchy area, I highly recommend it for the quality of the food. Don't let the plexiglass and the small opening where you pay and pick up your meal deter you.

Let me recommend the roast pork fried rice! It is delicious, and studded with a generous allocation of red-cooked pork. Don't be put off by the bullet proof glass at the order window. Hey, this is quality food for affordable prices. (And yes, they have a light offering of onion rings and a cheeseburger if you must, but please order the Chinese food here! It is really, really good. In the past few years their combination platter has gone from $7-$8 For dinner to now $13.75 all their prices on their food have doubled 100%. Making it impossible to feed a family undoable and making us the working class pay double for food just to have a meal. Best thing to do is go to the nearby stores for good price sandwiches, the Spanish cafe around the corner has great food at a good price and or the supermarket where you can just buy groceries and make your food. Any of that is better than spending double on just one meal!! Meal type: Dinner

I enjoyed the beef more overall, as it came with onions and peppers, while the chicken was just chicken (with three pieces of broccoli). The chicken was good; it was fresh and had a flavorful sauce, but it didn’t blow me away. I ordered small portions of everything, which turned out to be plenty of food—my partner and I could only finish half of each dish. I highly recommend this place for the size of the portions and the value. Additionally, here’s an updated menu, since I haven’t seen one posted in about six years. There isn’t much Chinese cuisine in the area, so this is your best option in DUMBO. Overall, I would recommend it for above-average Chinese takeout, although I didn’t try any...
