"We stopped at Zelt after Aspen as we were heading back to the airport, drawn in by the attraction of vegan pizza and craft beer. The menu clearly marked the vegan options, including marinated olives, hummus, tomato soup, and a delicious vegan sourdough pizza topped with roasted yams, vegan mozzarella, pickled greens, and walnuts. The beer selection was impressive, with a variety of options to choose from. While many breweries are focusing on IPAs and double IPAs, Zelt offered a more traditional beer selection. I opted for a beer that had a classic taste, along with a surprisingly sharp and dry apple cider, while my companion chose a flight of hoppy beers. Our favorite was the Gold Lager, a dry double pilsner with a nice hop finish."

Beer was ok. Not many taps/varieties.The pizza toppings were good, but the crust was like a bisquick crust. No shade on bisquick, but for $28 bucks I’d expect at least digiorno heated up from city market!!Someone should open a place with at least 30 taps, local brews, and some pizza dough that has some “pop” to it.

Delicious Vegan Pizza! Pesto sauce, cashew cheese, roasted garlic and balsamic glaze on a sourdough crust. I thought it was a very flavorful pizza and would happily have it again. They also had a vegan soup and it looked like you could make a few other items vegan. Aspen Tap also has great beers and a wonderful location in the heart of downtown Aspen. I've been here twice for dinner and both times it has been very busy.

No one should be made to feel like a burden for going to a dining establishment that has many hours yet to be open in the day. Witnessed staff complaining about customers, angrily throwing menus down on a table for an incoming family and were generally made to feel like a burden for being a patron in their establishment. Redeeming qualities for the two stars were the decent beer and the one staff person (a woman in a walking boot) who did demonstrate care and kindness. View menu

Upon entering the restaurant, the host was unpleasantly quick to seat us. A couple nearby mentioned they were still waiting for their check. Within two minutes, we were seated at their table, only to be insulted about my alma mater. The $16 jalapeño poppers came in a set of four, and the $25 8" pepperoni pizza ended up being billed as $28. The dough seemed store-bought. While the Ajax Pilsner was enjoyable, the overall service and quality of the experience was disappointing.

This isn't a vegan restaurant, but they offer a vegan pizza that is absolutely amazing - the best we've had at any restaurant. We were impressed by how well they were able to melt the vegan cheese and make the whole pizza taste just like a traditional, non-vegan pizza. Kudos to Aspen Tap for this delightful surprise! My partner and I recently transitioned to a vegan diet after being vegetarians for three decades, and pizza is definitely the food we miss the most. We're thrilled to have found this place. The salads are also delicious.

In a village like Aspen there is only a local brewery called Aspen Brewing. Aspen Tap is their restaurant and tap room for their mainstream and limited release beers. I have to admit, I was very pleasantly surprised. Your pizza maybe some of the best “vehicle” pizza I had. My favorite is her prosciutto arugula. Stellar. Had it with her Conundrum Red Ale, which was perfect with h it and a Moon Eyes Imperial. ****, what a delicious beer. The server told me his very popular and they often run out. I can see why! This place is on my list for all in the Aspen area View menu

It can be challenging to make great pizza at high altitude, and Aspen Tap is falling short. They used to have a crispy thin crust at a reasonable price (for Aspen standards). However, now the pizzas are doughy and chewy, with prices reaching up to $30 each. If you enjoy mozzarella on Wonder Bread, this may be the pizza for you. Another issue is the consistently loud atmosphere inside, thanks to the blasting music. It's better to sit outside if you want to have a conversation. Additionally, they have recently added a "kitchen fee" to the bill, which is not disclosed upfront. The service can also be hit or miss.

Completely regrettable experience The staff is aloof and bothered when you flag them down with a request. They never check in and let folks languish for 15 minutes before taking a drink order. The food came quickly and was hot, the only redeeming aspect. The cheese pizza had a cardboard crust a $4.99 Red Baron is better. Pretzel bites were flavorless, and the wedge salad with chicken resembled an airline meal. The bathroom and ambiance feels like a midwestern college bar that's been ridden hard and put away wet by throngs of paunchy frat boys. Come on, it's Aspen. This place could be something with a smidge of care instead of remarkably terrible.
