"From the onset, Augustine's Bakery was amazing to work with! We were planning a wedding from out-of-town, and they were in excellent communication. Everything was up-front and reasonable. They reached into my mind's eye and made the cake I had pictured in my head! And I should also mention, it was (still is, thank God for leftovers) DELICIOUS. Top five of the cakes I have had in 38 years of a dessert-heavy lifestyle. I am not a frosting person. I usually skip it. I would eat a vat of Augustine's frosting, and aside from the likely diabetic coma it would cause, would still have no regrets. Amazing, #1 best frosting ever.So, in summary, excellent communication, extremely reasonable pricing, talented baker and decorator, and you will want to be buried in their frosting. I don't want to get married again, but if I did, I would easily pick Augustine's for the cake."

Absolutely delicious! If you find yourself in town, make sure to stop by. If you're near the freeway, it's worth the short drive to this bakery. It's conveniently located, and the charming old town area offers a lovely walking experience.

Just one word: YUM! But I’ll say more. If you’re in Hays, you absolutely must visit this bakery. The pastries are fantastic, and they also offer amazing lunch options. Don’t let your taste buds miss out on the delicious offerings at Augustine’s Bakery!

I got there later on in the morning around 10:30 and they didn't have much, but that is my fault for sleeping in, not the bakery's! LOL. The cherry turnover and the caramel/pecan cinnamon rolls were delicious. Next time I'm in Hays, I'll set my alarm early and won't sleep in! View menu

Lovely place with a great menu of specials and baked treats all at a real fair price. The Friday lunch with fried noodles, beans and dumplings sounded a bit strange to me at first, but it's heavenly you MUST try it! I've only had the baklava from thebakery side, but it was incredible. Plus the folks are real friendly too and it's super fast.

It's more than a bakery. It's a bakery with a restaurant. Daily meal specials are published on their window and inside. The raspberry white chocolate cannon is the best **** I ever had. Hard and crisp on the outside with muffin-like softness inside. The bean itself was delicious, but was made extra tasty by the large sugar spreads on the top. Very friendly.

The cake was great but the service was terrible. The man behind the counter treated me and other customers like they were stupid. I took the poor service fine but seeing the man speak towards two older couples with disrespect was horrifying. I would recommend the cake but not sure if it’s truly worth getting treated with that much disrespect when you are paying them for their service. View menu

The cake was fantastic, but the service was unfortunately very disappointing. The man at the counter spoke to me and other customers in a condescending manner. While I tried to overlook his poor service, it was shocking to see him show such disrespect to two older couples. I would recommend the cake, but I’m not sure it’s worth enduring that level of disrespect when you’re paying for their service.

I’m so pleased we decided to visit this local bakery. We’re big fans of cinnamon rolls, and after reading some reviews, we felt encouraged to give it a try. The rolls were incredibly soft from edge to center, and we indulged in vanilla icing with almond crunch. It’s important to support local businesses, and the owners and staff were exceptionally friendly. We stopped by before 8 AM on a Saturday, and I have no doubt that their other products are just as high in quality.
