"We dined at this restaurant with our children and had a pleasant meal. The kids enjoyed a buffet designed just for them, which was a hit. Other upscale restaurants should take note of this concept. It cost $15 per child, but included a wide variety of choices that kids enjoy, as well as desserts and a drink. I ordered the swordfish, which was a bit overcooked and lacking in flavor. My wife ordered the filet, which was served over a tomato-based medley of zucchini and squash that did not complement it well. Despite reading reviews that the side of Brussels sprouts would be roasted, they arrived steamed and were also tasteless. However, the highlight of our meal was our excellent waiter. We had dined at Pacific Grille the night before, and that meal was much more flavorful."

Food is extremely salty. The blacken fish taco and French onion soup was bathed and submerged in extreme level of sodium, almost inedible.

Perfect for a late breakfast/lunch, offering a chance to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Salads were fresh and filling and the burger was oozing with yummy goodness. Would love to try everything on the menu! View menu

The view from the patio is overlooking a lovely lake/pond in the distance. Very nice. Ordered smoked salmon off the breakfast menu. Very good and fresh. The bagel was standard, but all the other ingriedents were so good, it was fine. Wait staff was very friendly and accomidating. Perfect for breakfast.

We made a reservation for a late dinner since we were arriving at the resort late. However, the server appeared annoyed with us as soon as we sat down. He seemed even more frustrated when we ordered, as we didn't order appetizers that he tried to push on us. When our meals arrived, the server stood a few feet away from our table and stared at us, making us feel uncomfortable and rushed to finish our meals. It was clear that he just wanted to leave. This was disappointing because it was our anniversary weekend and we were looking forward to a nice dinner.

"1. **Location and Ambiance:** The restaurant is conveniently situated just half a block off Highway 50, making it easy to get in and out. The building itself is an old German Lutheran church that was established over a century ago. Each menu features the history of the church, which provided interesting reading while we awaited our food. 2. **Staff:** We primarily interacted with one waitress who was quite busy but managed to multitask incredibly well and took excellent care of us. 3. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness is very important to me when visiting new places. This restaurant was spotless from the entryway to the tables and the restrooms. There were a few screws protruding from the deck that posed a potential hazard, but when I pointed them out, they assured me they would address the issue immediately. 4. **Selection:** The menu offered a great variety of options, including some daily specials that aren’t always listed. It’s worth asking the staff about these so you don’t miss out. 5. **Pies:** Let’s talk about the pies! All of them are homemade and include flavors like meringue, sour cream raisin, pecan, apple, cherry, and cobblers. The sour cream raisin and raspberry crème pies are particularly exceptional. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted homemade pies this good. If you don’t stop here just to grab a slice of pie, you’re really missing out. 6. **The Food:** a. If you’ve never tried a bierrock, you should definitely get one. It’s a German pastry filled with cabbage and sausage, and one along with a bowl of soup or salad will fill you up. They make for a great breakfast treat as well. b. We also ordered the meatloaf, which was another homemade delight. It came with three generous slices and a selection of vegetables. However, this was the only part that let us down a bit—the green beans were flavorful but served cold or lukewarm. The coleslaw, on the other hand, was quite good, and I usually don’t care for slaw. 7. **Conclusion:** While it may be a small establishment, it’s definitely worth a visit, and we would happily dine at Christine's again. They also offer catering and BBQ options on the weekends, which seem to be highly recommended. **Parking:** There are both on-street and off-road parking spaces available."
