"This place continued to impress. We had people were vegan, gluten free and had nut allergies kn our party, and they are incredible with not only numerous offerings for everyone but so careful about the food and letting us know what was safe for everyone. The vegan sushi is unreal- best in the city! All the other food and drinks were delish as well. We celebrated a birthday there and they held our cake in the back and were so kind about everything. Can’t wait to come back!"

Love the food, vibe, staff and the price isn’t too bad. The margaritas were in small glasses and not filled. Otherwise, love it here!!!

The place is very pretty. There were lots of options available. The service was great and the food was great. The tempura fried ice cream was amazing.

Not great service, waitress seemed less than thrilled to have been helping us and rolled her eyes at us when we left which was weird to us because she got in our minds a good tip! Food was great as usual, but service has been better. View menu

The food was very good: tuna tower, speciality rolls (San Marcos and Spanish fly) and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. The service was lacking. Our waitress didn’t have much to say or have any menu opinions and wasn’t attentive. The atmosphere is great so I’d go back for that and the sushi but hope the service is better.

The food and service at this restaurant were great. My girlfriend has celiac disease, and they were very attentive in ensuring all of her food was gluten-free. They even provided gluten-free soy sauce for her sushi dipping and made sure my food was also gluten-free. It was a relief not to have to worry about her being exposed to gluten.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
