"I heard so much about this place from friends, I had to try it. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going have a great meal, the atmosphere is total Americana you sit at the counter and watch them prepare your food on a small griddle which I personally love, the staff were very friendly and they interacted with the customers on a personal level they make you feel like you came to your buddy’s outdoor BBQ and everyone was joking around and having fun). You can tell the staff are doing what they love. That being said, I had the steak and cheese with fries…..it was huge and delicious. Definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu."

"It is unfortunate to see the decline in quality and service at this longtime Bethesda establishment. The last few meals have been disappointing, and it appears they have reached their lowest point. It is a positive development that they are closing this week for remodeling, although it seems like a mistake as the ambiance was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant. Hopefully, the renovation will allow them to start fresh with improved kitchen operations, service, and management. If not, it may be worth taking a short trip on the metro into DC for better food and a superior dining experience at a similar price."

"My friend, Laura, hosted my birthday dinner at this new restaurant last week and we had a great time. – Thank you, Tom Sietsema! The pani poori was good — although I preferred it without the cumin water. Watch out – these one-bite appetizers are rather large! The tandoori chicken was excellent, as was the nan flecked with rock salt and cilantro. By the way, the outstanding raita comes in very handy! The parking situation is not great, but the restaurant is very homey and inviting, the prices are outstanding (two people dined for less than $40), and the staff are exceedingly attentive, knowledgable and helpful. Enjoy!"

"I really like Millie's However, they DO NOT really have too much for anyone who is Gluten Free. I have celiac disease and can find options most everywhere these days. I am surprised they do not have options. I had a salad. Not even sure if the dressing was gluten free, so I didn't have dressing. I was disappointed but my husband liked his food"

If they are a long comer or a new face in the city, beth will welcome them and lead a talk. they feel welcome and part of the family diner. I love this place because he does not try to compete with other brunch places, it is original and authentic. they get exactly what they want. loves the steak and eggs with the kartoffels. great breakfast and the conversation is even better. come more often, they are welcomed by their names. destined love this experience."
