"We enjoyed a beautiful, leisurely drive through the mountains and decided to stop for lunch, which was so delicious I'd eat it off a rolling truck tire! Satoko provided us with attentive and delightful service, and she was such a joy to be around—be sure to ask for her! We ordered the steak bites with horseradish and the Short Branch Grubber burger topped with bacon, pastrami, and blue cheese. Oh my goodness, it was incredibly tasty! Thank you, Satoko!"

"Showed up for lunch with a buddy after a China Peak ski lift install update and ordered 2 burgers and one large fries...no drinks. Bill over $30...WOW? The Visa screen is outside, reflective and very hard to see especially with prescript sunglasses but all I saw were tip options and when I explained I didn't want to tip I thought all was good. At the time I didn't think about it but the cashier never gave me a receipt of purchase and as we continued to wait for our order we were shocked how long it was taking to get our food. There was no line when we ordered and no orders pick-up as we waited. When the buzzer went off I went to get the order why I didn't think I should tip.. no service) and when I got back to the table the food particularly the fries were already going cold apparently sitting for awhile. Disappointed by pretty much everything except the bun, I remember to ask for a receipt and get one for $29.02. A few days later while balancing my check book my bank statement said that my Hungry Hut bill is $34.36. So I called to speak with the owner and tell him what happened and got ZERO co-operation/ empathy regarding refunding my $5.34. So to show my appreciation to him I'm letting everyone who reads this the kind of business he runs and how he treats his customers. The sad part is the food would have been good if it had been promptly served and priced fairly. Do want you want as for me, I'm NEVER going back. Tom H Clovis CA"
