"we often go to bona to dinner before the game. no problem with sitting, go straight in. service is very fast, occasionally chatty, but generally not-nonsense what they want .friendly enough. the restaurant is simple, clean and tidy. had sweet broth pho w/ sweet and added to it today. After I had never (beef) pho, I have no reference and am Norwegian-American, I have no comments on authenticity. all that aside, I liked it for what it was. a broth soup with carrots, carrots, snowbsen and a large side dish made of pear sprouts, thai basilikum, lime and jalapeno slices. it has chased only one tade with sriracha and the luke. a small one was a lot for a person. the veggie spring rolls are simple, with reisnudel, drone, salat and zilantro. the erdnus sauce is pretty good. that rolls my man really. sweet only, no ice in the filling. (have never over the wrappers ask for no fish sauce (normal dip,) erdnusssauce! the bun tofu is also great. beautifully juicy roast tofu over reisnudele, salat, gurken, bohnensprossen. and the favorite of my man, fried kartoffeln and mock ente. not for someone who observes their figure! crispy roasted kartoffeln in a rich brown sauce with roasted wobble and good texture / flavor mock."

Bona offers a vegetarian/vegan pho with a base of vegetables, roasted tofu, or mock duck. I tried the tofu option and it was absolutely delicious.

the pho can be made easily vegan and there is a tonne vegan options. I get the sweetpho with added tofu and it is amazing. my friend (not vegan) loves it too!

The food is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend trying the Com Suon and Bun Bo Hue; both dishes are authentic and delicious. Plus, the prices are amazing! I found myself dining there almost every day. View menu

The food at this restaurant is truly comforting. I had the sweet and sour pork, which was slightly on the dry side, but the sauce was absolutely perfect. It was a classic sweet and sour pork with rice dish. Next time I visit, I think I'll try one of their noodle dishes!

Bona is walking distance from my son's place on the U of MN campus. He told me about it and I realized I may have come to this place at a different location many years ago. We originally were going to do Pho... But it got to 82 degrees and maybe a bit warm for that. Ordered Hot and Spicy Seafood and Lemongrass Chicken. They were both quite good. Very fresh. Appreciate the cucumbers and tomatoes that cane with.

Ate here often when working at the U. Always the same dish, chicken potato or potato chicken and always very satisfying. Years later seeing they are still going, I grubhubbed an order. Fried rice instead of plain and extra chicken for extra money. Received plain rice and a couple of pieces of chicken and the rest some kind of beef strips ,not very tasty. Maybe they have new management, or out of chicken, or maybe don't care. Grubhub refunded thankfully. Recommend eating there in person. View menu

My friend told me this was her favorite place for pho so I decided it was worth a shot. They're easy enough to find and is located on the U of M campus (where it is easy enough to find other pho shops as well). My standard for pho is to always try the pho dac biet. So that was what I ordered. And honestly, I wasn't super satisfied. The flavor depth fell short. There wasn't much to the broth at all. At one point, it may have been a good broth, but it seems like maybe water just kept being added. I also remembered that it didn't come out really hot...but more just warm. I'm not sure I'd go back as there are so many other choices, but if you're in a pinch and you're in the area and looking for...

We enjoy dining at Bona before the game. There is no issue with seating, you can just walk right in. The service is quick and friendly, with occasional chatty moments but overall no-nonsense. The restaurant is simple, clean, and orderly. I tried the sweet broth pho with beef today, and as a Norwegian-American, I can't comment on the authenticity, but I enjoyed it for what it was. The soup had carrots, snow peas, and a side of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime, and jalapeno slices. I added a little sriracha for some heat. The veggie spring rolls were straightforward with rice noodles, lettuce, and cilantro, and the peanut sauce was tasty. My favorite dish was the bun tofu, with juicy roasted tof...
