"I was taking my nephew to a 9:30 show at the Annoyance and it turns out there are not a ton of things to do in this neighborhood between 7PM and 9:30PM if you aren’t 21 and/or don’t drink alcohol on a Monday night. I remembered a friend told me about Bonus Round and it was the perfect spot to spend 90 minutes playing a game between dinner and the show. We already ate so we didn’t get a chance to sample the hot foods, but were thrilled to enjoy the N/A selections (some lovely mocktails that could be plussed with booze if you want) and some candy while we played. Great selection of games to choose from. We didn’t need help but it was nice to hear a staff member explain a new game to the table next to us and I will absolutely be back for another game night. Great for a group that drinks or doesn’t."

Love coming here, love having this place in the neighborhood! Staff are wonderful. Great for dates, bringing out of town family, friends, and the beer list is *chef’s kiss*

I had a great time there! Drew, the owner, was amazing. He helped us find a great game to play and even took time to teach us how to play! The drinks are great. Can’t wait to go back! View menu

It's a rough diamond ? with a special theme to cater a selected population who are looking to have a good time, chill and enjoy a good game.Price wise, a bit expensive...Food is very earthy...Kids friendly...

Really cute queer-friendly place to hang out with friends. The staff are all friendly and eager to explain game rules and give suggestions. I thought the jackfruit sliders were yummy and the prices were fair. I wish that there wasn't a $10 food minimum on top of the per-person game fee, but it was still affordable.

One of my favorite spots in the city! The team at Bonus Round always take good care of me and are always happy to help me figure out what I want to play (and then teach me to boot! Great spot for a team event (trying to get my boss to take us! or just for killing a couple hours with a few friends beating the heat outside. View menu

I've had a couple interactions w Bonus Round prior to my first time actually visiting, and both times the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I have some social anxiety and wanted to check out their LGBTQIA+ mixer, and it was a great experience! The staff and players already there made me feel super at ease. The drinks were tasty, and the food looked good (will be trying in the future! I'm excited to go back and see if they have any spooky game recs.

I was able to visit with friends on a work trip this past winter and we had an excellent time. The person working was extremely helpful and kind. They suggested several games to play based on our collective experience with board games, and was extremely knowledgeable of all of the rules. The drink selection was fantastic, the food great for snacking while we all tried to play our best games and be the victor of the day. All in all I’ll be recommending this spot to everyone I know and returning any time I’m back in Chicago!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
