"My friend and I split a few dishes together including their Rainbow Salad, the Mint Tofu, and their String Beans with a side of coconut rice. The salad was a picturesque blend of vegetables with a citric dressing that made for a refreshing start to our meal. Their tofu and string beans were also packed with incredible flavors and I could tell they really put a high standard to the food they serve. Everything was top notch. Although the food was great and we enjoyed our experience, I was a shocked at how steep some of the prices were even for the veggie options that we had ordered. Paying $20+ for each of our dishes was a bit of a shocker but hey, these are SF prices right? Burma Love is a great spot to try at least once, and if you can afford it more often, then definitely come on back for more."

Very noisy. More expensive than the one in my neiborhood.

Their two tofu variants are both very tasty, and their veggies aren't bad either. Pretty fancy and expensive though.

We went to the restaurant before a theater show and the food came out very quickly and was excellent we were out of the restaurant and our way to the theater in 45 minutes!

Great new location. Less busy than their Mission location, which is more pleasant. Love the vegan versions of the sambusa soup and tea leaf salad. Always great quality. Updated from previous review on 2022-01-12 View menu

Excellent dining option before seeing a show at Golden Gate Theater. We love Burma Superstar but didn't know what to expect at Burma Love.... pleasantly surprised and happy with food quality, service ambiance. Will definitely be back! AND, of course, had the Tea Leaf Salad love it!!

Always enjoy the food here, nice that there are enough vegan options. What seems to be more and more common at restaurants, you order an appetizer, salad and entree, and if you order them up front, they all arrive at the same time. My friend ordered an appetizer as her entree but it arrive before we got the salad as our appetizer.

This is a good place to take non-vegan friends. We all enjoyed the vegan version of the famous Tea Leaf Salad (made vegan by removing dried shrimp and fish sauce), and I got the Fiery Hodo Tofu. It was good, though you have to buy rice separately which puts the dish well over $25 — pretty pricey for tofu. It’s a lovely restaurant and is very close to public transit. View menu

The food was good when it finally came but the service was horrible. After and hour our appetizer never came out. Friends that came and order after us good their food before we did. Their food came before the appetizer they ordered. They brought the wrong food out and when we informed our server he asked what we wanted him to do about it... our last round of drinks sat at the bar for 35 minutes and our server disappeared and never came back. His whole section was flagging down other waiters for help. We had reservations at a nearby bar so we had to tell them to cancel the last round of drink and just get the check. We have ourselves a 2 1/2 window for dinner and we were still late to our res...

Our starters, Tea Leaf Salad and Burmese Samusas, were great! We were off to a good start.Unfortunately, as we progressed, food was just OK to mid. For example, the Chicken Kebat is too lemony, and then the dried fried string beans is a bit salty. We had a big group (12 of us), so we ordered more like Wok Tossed Broccoli, which is bland while Burmese Style Beef Curry is salty and the meat is hard.Dessert came after about 20 minutes wait, and it is super sweet. The only best ones are the appetizers. The rest are not well cooked and seasoned, unfortunately. For drinks, I tried Riesling as starter and Burmese Milk Tea for main. Riesling paired really well with the appetizers. Burmese milk tea pair...

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
