"Our server was rude throughout the evening. At first, we thought he was just being humorous and laughed along, but as the night progressed, we found ourselves feeling increasingly upset. He carelessly cleared away our champagne and tea, insisting that we move our champagne to the center of the table because he was uncomfortable with us having it there. When my friend requested a tea refill, he remarked something to the effect of, “Wow, they really despise this alcohol.” This made my friend anxious, and when she inquired if there was any alcohol in the tea, his response was, “That was sweet, and it clearly fell through.” When he returned to replace the tea, he stared at my friend until she finally said, “I’m waiting for you to take that stray and pour it into the new glass.” This behavior made us quite uncomfortable until we asked for boxes for our leftover food. He seemed offended and said, “You’re suddenly full?” I genuinely hope his behavior was meant as playful humor that we simply didn’t understand, but his professionalism with other tables contrasted sharply with his attitude toward us, making it feel personal. As we were likely the youngest couple in the restaurant, we wondered if he noticed this and tried to highlight the age difference. In the end, our bill came to $250, including the 20% tip that was automatically added. We didn’t feel that our experience was worth this amount, and given how we were treated, we would not have tipped the full 20%. We are disappointed that the glowing reviews we had heard were not reflected in our experience."

"SUMMARY. Jeni's ice cream is my personal favorite, so I always like checking out the various locations. This one is on the main drag in Hillsboro Village, about three blocks off Vanderbilt's campus. While it offers the same great ice cream experience you can expect from any Jeni's, this location is always absolutely mobbed. As such, lines can be long, and tables non-existent.LOCATION. Hillsboro Village. This particular location is quite small and doesn't offer many tables. I've been here several times around 8pm and never once gotten a seat (even by myself). I usually eat while standing or get it to go. Again, this is due to its proximity to Vanderbilt, as it is walking distance for undergraduates without cars.QUALITY. The quality is the same as any Jeni's I've been to: INCREDIBLE. Their ice cream, in my opinion, is leaps and bounds better than any I can think of. My favorite flavor is Brambleberry Crisp.SERVICE. The service at this location is great. Again, it can be slow and crowded, but the actual service is top notch. Employees are very friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant experience.TAKEAWAYS. I come here often, as I like it's close proximity to campus (I am a graduate student). The quality of Jeni's ice cream is unbeatable, and the employees here are super nice! My only qualm is the mob scene, which usually precludes my being able to sit down while enjoying. Still, I find myself back here frequently, so I can't be that upset!Happily,Clayton Cohn"

"Okay... E3... They 've been on my list since they opened but we just haven 't made time to go. I 'm glad we finally did and can confidently say that, based on my experience last night, this is one of the best steakhouses in Nashville. They have been open since November 2019, just before you know what, and had all the same struggles as everyone else in the service industry, but over the last six months or so they 've been able to make an incredible come back. A couple different GMs, a couple different chefs, etc, etc. That said, the team that is there last night absolutely seems to have their stuff together. We were able to meet several members of the staff and every single one of them was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Service is obviously the driving factor here and it was, in every way possible, top notch. This is a high end restaurant and the experience, obviously, comes with a higher price tag. That said, there were several things I noticed during service that absolutely elevated the experience and made the cost worth it for us. One was the interaction of the staff with their guests. The section of the restaurant in which we were seated was basically in the middle of the room giving us rhe opportunity to see most of what was going on and from what I could tell everyone was well taken care of. For us personally, our server (Sofia and server assistant (Maria were both engaging and knowledgeable, table side exchanges with both Chef Steven and the sommelier (Dino were professional but friendly, and we also had an opportunity to meet the new GM (Michael who was beyond generous with his time and gave us a quick tour of the restaurant after dinner. There were a few other things like Sofia sharpening our steak knives at the table before presentation and Maria bringing a trolley to the table to box our leftovers that were just nice little extra touches that made the experience better and I personally enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely return. (Oh... Complimentary valet parking is also available. Not having been, I was a little confused on how to get there, but trust your GPS. It was right and I didn 't listen. "
