"We spent a week at the Hotel Majestic in one of their King Suites, Room 408. What a charming hotel and so perfect for our needs. The location is excellent! Only a five minute walk into the heart of Japantown and surrounded by plenty of shopping and dining. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room clean and spacious. The suite has plenty of light and a separate living room and bedroom, which do show the age of the hotel, but the full bathroom has been updated. Water pressure was excellent and the hot water ample. You can hear other guests moving around and traffic, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. The TV had plenty of channels from which to choose. The breakfast buffet included make-it-yourself waffles, eggs, sausage, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea, milk and juice. There's even a small gym in the basement. Our only complaint is about the computer and printer available in the lobby. The computer was working, but a bit slow, but the printer wasn't working and the keyboard and mouse needed to be switched out as they stopped working as well. Luckily the front desk staff were more than happy to print anything we needed. Would highly recommend!"

Great food and coffee quiet little gem near Japantown. Only minus orange juice didn't taste like fresh squeezed.

I made a reservation through OpenTable, hoping for a lovely Mother's Day brunch with my mother and my wife. The photos of the venue looked promising.

The quality of the service staff, the front desk team, and especially the hotel manager on duty during our visit was exceptional. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this location to our friends and family coming to San Francisco.

This is a fantastic place to stay in San Francisco! We’ve decided this will be our go-to hotel in the city. The rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly and very helpful. It has a charming old-school vibe and a lot of character, making it feel cozy and inviting. The only downside is the parking situation—we received a $90 ticket for parking on the street in the morning.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights during a business trip. Originally built in 1850 and converted into a hotel in 1902, this property has a rich history spanning 121 years. If you appreciate historical architecture, you might enjoy this place. However, due to its age, there is a noticeable odor from the carpets. I recommend avoiding rooms on the 5th floor; I stayed on the 3rd floor and found the accommodations quite nice, evoking a sense of nostalgia. The bed is quite high, but there’s a small bench in the closet that helps. However, the lighting in the room is somewhat dim. The hotel may not be the best choice for elderly guests, as all rooms feature large bathtubs that can be difficult...

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
