"The service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes and ultimately had to ask for our food to go while standing in line behind several other customers. By the time we got home later that evening, the food was, of course, cold. Upon opening the boxes, I found that my order cost over $14, but the portions were absurdly small. I could fit both side dishes in the palm of my hand, and the main course was about the same size. The cornbread was barely enough for a child, measuring only 1 inch by 2.5 inches and 0.75 inches tall. After reheating it in the microwave, it was difficult to judge the taste of the food. We had to leave for an appointment, or we would have stayed longer. On a positive note, I must say that the red beans and rice were quite good."

I recently visited Cajun Catfish House for the first time, and it was an outstanding experience. This charming little restaurant in town offers delicious food, and the service was top-notch.

Good people and great food. A hidden gem of the beaten path. They get all the little details right. Unique approaches to different sides and entrees. Very satisfying cajun fare experience. We will be back for sure. View menu

Get ready to join me in St. Martins, Missouri, close to VFW Post 35, as we check out the famous Cajun Catfish House! At first glance, you might think, "This place looks like a small hole-in-the-wall." But believe me, it's absolutely worth a visit!

The waitress was exceptional, and the food quality was generally good. However, the coleslaw recipe has changed; I preferred the previous version because it had more flavor. Also, the cashiers could be more welcoming—an older woman was there during both of my visits last month, and her demeanor was the same each time.

The service was horrid. We were there 45 minutes and finally had to get our food to go as we stood in line to pay behind several other people. Once we got home later that evening, yes by then the food was cold, we opened the boxes. Mine was +14 dollars. Icould fit the 2 side dishes in the palm of my hand. The main course would fit in the palm of my hand. The cornbread was a smallchild serving size about 1 inch ×2.5 inches and .75 inches tall. Difficult to rate the taste of the food when it was reheatedin the microwave. We had to meet others for an appointment or we would have stayed. The red beans and rice were very good. View menu
