"This was my first time trying authentic sushi and it was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent and we dined in for dinner. The price per person ranged from $10 to $20. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Daisy Roll, California Roll, and Pacific Roll."

"Totally a Michigan diner located on Dix Hwy. Easy to find and ok food. Parking isn’t easy but not a big deal. I had the country fried steak, and unfortunately the gravy was ice cold. I think the breading and the steak overall was overcooked leaving me with not the best breakfast. Good coffee, good service, but there are so many diners in the area, you can probably find better. I like Zorbas on Fort St in Riverview better. Parking: Usually hard to find parking here. "I was a little ambivalent at first eating at Alex 's. You know the saying is don 't judge a book by its cover . Well I have. I 've been driving by this restaurant for over 7 yrs. Shame right, yes. To me mid eastern food ment Dearborn city area. Well today I learned very much not. I was treated by Michelle, my waitress. She 's a charmer who helped me with the menu. Finally I had opted for the lamb kabob and up graded to a tabouliie salad. I couldn 't have asked for a better dinner. The salad was great. The lamb kabob juicy cooked to perfect with rice. Though the restaurant is Alex 's Kabob House. I talked with Salam his son. He mentioned to me the restaurant has been there over 20 yrs. This business gets 5 stars plus. Very clean inside and the only thing better than the food is the staff itself. GREAT JOB"

"If I could leave ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! I dined alone today and the initial service was great, the waiter was bit extra friendly but nothing to worry about. After ordering my food I noticed the waiter grabbed my plates from behind the register area as I sat in eye view of the area. He began to grab food/ shuffling food around with his bare hands from MY PLATE!! He brought the food to my table and I confronted him saying did you just put something in my food and touch it with your bare hands?? and his response was “no I didn’t, enjoy your food”. I proceeded to tell him I was looking right at you why are you lieing???? He walked away and kept peeking around the corner watching me (super scared at this point). Once he walked to the back I went to the register and asked a guy(white shirt) for my bill so I could just leave, he asked what was wrong and I said I can NOT EAT THIS FOOD I just want my bill so I can leave. Then both guys came over and I walked back to my table telling me I didn’t have to pay. I left the place then reentered to tell the other guy (white shirt) about what happened and he apologized then I left! SOOO IM NOT SURE IF HE PUT SOMETHING IN MY FOOD THE REASON HE WAS PEEKING FROM BEHIND THE WALL BIT STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AND OR WATCH THEM CAREFULLY I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!"

"My wife is from south of Detroit. We were in town over the weekend and had dinner here with family. With my love for Central European cuisine and the high recommendations, there was no way I could pass this place up. My aim was to sample as much as I could ... and mission accomplished. The appetizers included the Hortobagyi Palicsinta and paprikas chicken wings. The sauce used on the Hortobagyi was thick and delicious. To continue with my mission, I obviously opted for the Hungarian combination plate (bring on the paprikas sauce ... amazing as my main course. Everything came out hot, fresh and cooked with love. I also ordered a cup of the Hungarian Goulash. There are many versions of Goulash recipes that derive from Central Europe and that I've had the pleasure to sample, both here in the US AND across the pond ... and this version has to rank up there with the best! The mixture of tender beef and potatoes (topped with dumplings was stewed to perfection and was an absolute culinary delight. I somehow dug deep and was able to sample some dessert. The Kremes was the ideal cherry on top, due to its light vanilla custard and pastry dough on the top and bottom (sort of like a Napoleon . The service was great and the cozy atmosphere makes this a very welcoming place, especially during the Michigan winters. Shout out to the owner for coming by on multiple occasions to check on us. We will definitely be back next time we are in town for more cuisine, and more Apricot Palinka Cocktails ."
