This riverside restaurant is an ideal place for a laid-back dining experience. The food is outstanding, particularly the battered fish fry, which was absolutely delicious. The bartender was also very friendly and welcoming.

We visited for lunch on a weekday and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. There was ample parking available right outside the restaurant, and we even had the opportunity to chat with the owner.

My husband and I dined at this restaurant in Sodus Point to celebrate our 68th wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The food was absolutely fantastic! Food was okay, I definitely got bagged chips rather than the house made ones stated on the menu. When we got our bill, the beer prices were ridiculous. My husband had four that were absolutely 12oz vs my two that were closer to 16oz and the bill cameout to $47 for just our drinks. Not quite worth it to me

We had to wait for our table to be cleaned, and while it was done thoroughly, we still needed to wipe down a few spots ourselves. We ordered wings, which were absolutely delicious. My husband tried the Wayne Co. burger and really enjoyed it. I opted for the beer-battered fish (I loved that I could choose the batter) along with fries and onion rings. The onion rings were the best I've ever had!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Jack's on a sunny autumn day. The portion sizes were ample, and everything was cooked flawlessly. Eating outside on the veranda was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only downside was that the drinks were a bit small; we ordered apple wine, and it was served in tiny plastic cups. Captain Jack's is a wonderful place in Sodus Point to spend a summer day by the water. The service is excellent; we were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to our table. Our server was attentive, and our meals were served promptly. The food was both delicious and reasonably priced. With its lively atmosphere and breathtaking view of the bay, Captain Jack's is sure to satisfy anyone looking for quality, fun, and a memorable experience. I highly recommend it.

We arrived at Captain Jacks in Sodus on a lovely day, August 7th, at 6:20pm. Sadly, we were met by a frustrated hostess who informed us that the kitchen would be closing early at 6:30pm. We were left wondering why this decision was made, especially considering the hot weather and the fact that it is August. It's difficult to make a profit if the restaurant isn't open, and having live entertainment with only alcohol available seems like a missed opportunity. It's puzzling that they would choose to close so early, especially with the sun setting in an hour. We would appreciate an explanation for this unusual decision.

The aromas both inside and outside the restaurant were very inviting. The hosts and server greeted us warmly, and our drinks arrived promptly, setting a positive tone for our experience. Unfortunately, that was where the good times ended for the most part. Almost all the food arrived at once—soup, wings, salad, and two entrees—except for the hot dog I ordered for my 1-year-old daughter, which took an additional ten minutes to arrive.
