"When booking a reservation for Casa Ora, you have the option to book outdoor seating or indoor seating. I booked indoor seating. When we arrived for our 6PM indoor reservation, there were only about 2-3 parties seated throughout the entire restaurant, yet the hostess decided to have my party sit outdoors, when it was cold and pouring rain outside. Though their outdoor seating is fully covered, it was still very odd that they chose to seat us outdoors when I booked an indoor reservation, it was pouring outside, and the restaurant was completely empty with the exception of about 3 tables. When my mom, the person who picked the restaurant, and the person whose birthday we were there to celebrate, protested that we should not be seated outside, the hostess then offered to have us seated at the table nearest the front door, when again, it was cold, rainy, and the nearly empty restaurant had plenty of seating towards the back. When my mom then suggested we leave to another restaurant, the hostess magically found space for us in the back of the restaurant where only one other party in that entire empty space was seated. I'm not sure why they were trying to have us seated outside or right by the front door when they admitted they knew that I booked an indoor reservation, but it was certainly very odd. Outside of that bizarre experience, the service from our waiter was perfect and the food and drinks were 4/5 stars."

The 4 arepitas are a good taster, but kind of forgettable.

My boyfriend and I came all the way from Fortlauderdale, FL to try Casa Ora. And we absolutely love it. We've been to so many different Michelin star restaurants but Casa Ora completely got our hearts. The food is just unforgettable, Cocktails are the best in NYC and the desserts were super delicious. We will definitely come back and 100000000% recommended.

Food, drinks, ambience and service were amazing! Absolutely delicious from start to finish. This very cool vibe, family restaurant takes their art very seriously and we loved it. Service was excellent! Staff is very friendly and attentive. You can tell they are like a family. Greeted at the door and at least 10 Employees said hello, as well as goodnight when we left after dinner. Quality was excellent and I've paid more money for lesser food at other places. Clean restaurant with a very inviting comfy decor. I definitely recommend View menu

Food and decor were excellent! I definitely would?ve given them 5 stars for that. But the server needed more training. As we were eating our meal she started spraying down the adjacent tables with cleaning products. We couldn?t really enjoy our meal at that point because of the strong smell of cleaning solution in the air. She also failed to mention that both desserts we ordered had rum (she only mentioned one having rum). All in all she seemed to lack passion andseemed to just be going through the motions. With more training I?m sure she?ll be fine. But putting that aside, you?ll love this place.

We were disappointed. Venezuelan food is much rich, layered and complex. We feel a great deal of good will here but it stays short from achievement. I had the beef and went to ask specially about the term and I was told that the cook does it medium red. It came overcooked. 58 dollars for this strip of steak very regular quality and overcooked is bad. The sides were also disappointing. In general we found the quality of this restaurant similar to food truck-like, but expensive. Very basic and not refined. I am not expecting sophistication but simplicity and thruth. Empanadas in Venezuela are not that bulky or massive: great empanadas are a subtle endeavor. Filling?s were good though.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
