"The food was decent, but it was quite pricey. They only accept cash, which wasn’t mentioned when we ordered over the phone. Our total came to $76, and upon arrival, we found ourselves $1.60 short. Despite their insistence that they had informed us, they hadn’t. They made me walk to an ATM down the street to withdraw the cash. In hindsight, I should have just walked away and mentioned that since I was only a little short, I wouldn’t be making the purchase. But we went ahead and complied. We definitely won’t be returning. A respectable American restaurant would have allowed us to cover the small shortfall. It seems they only accept cash to avoid paying taxes and are too stingy to let a minor amount slip by instead of accepting credit cards, Venmo, or debit. The lack of communication about their cash-only policy was frustrating. I’ve always supported businesses that show understanding in such situations, but this place will not be one of them."

Taiwanese natives love this place, the flavors are fragrant and savory. Would recommend to anyone who is open to adventurous flavors. I personally love the stir fried intestines with sour cabbage.

I came for the large intestine and pig's blood soup! It wasn't too bad, but the restaurant is very small, so you can get filled up quickly. I wouldn't recommend coming at dinner time, as you might have a long wait. Next time, I want to try the stinky tofu!

Every so often I'll pull into a random strip mall/plaza just to see what there is to eat. I'm glad this is the restaurant I chose. The PORK AND RICE is delicious. Fried pork chop, braised pork chop, fried tofu, bok choy, and a braised egg. Hmmm Taiwanese good at its best. Ask for some red chili oil to go with it and you're golden. The lady at the front was super nice too, definitely someone's mom and took care of me like I was a nephew visiting from out of town. Would come again.

A friend recommended this place for some Chinese food that you can't get at any Chinese restaurant. I decided to try. I ordered fish with mustard green, sauteed pork kidney in sesame oil, spicy pork intestine with tofu/blood, and salted egg with bitter melon. This place is small so I'm glad I ordered take-out. I called and it only took 15 minutes for them to prepare my order. Plenty of parking since it's next to a market. Overall, the food was good and the portion was generous. I will come back again.

I've been coming to this place since my college days, and let's just say that was quite some time ago! I recently discovered they’re still open while visiting family, so I had to give it a try. The food was just as consistent as I remembered from a few years ago. However, the prices have increased quite a bit, which wasn't a surprise. We tried the sesame oil pig kidneys, salted egg bitter melon, five-spice sausage, and sauerkraut beef, and they were all delicious. Very authentic Taiwanese cuisine! I would definitely come back again. View menu

Chef's Kitchen was recommended to us by a friend so here we are. It is not a large place, simple and functional. Food is star that really got us here. #64 mixed cold-cut appetizer is really tasty. Highly recommended. #55 shredded pork with bean curd is good too. #41 sliced fish is white sauce and #30 kung-pao chicken tasted as expected. They are a few othi items I wanted to try, but they will have to wait. Service here is just the basic. We had to flag someone down to place our order. It was an effort to get water later. Food came out pretty quickly, which I liked.

I came here with my family tonight. we ordered 5 dishes and when we finished and ready to pay, I was told its cash only. no sign of Cash Only at the entrance). It was $91 and I only had 94 dollars cash on me, i knew it wasn't enough for tips so I drove to the closest Chase Bank to get more cash , but then I realized that I didn't have my debit card with me. so I drove back and explained my cash can only cover for food and $3 for tips. But I said I could come back with more tips next week. surprisingly one of the waitress was rude enough not only to give me that look but also to tell me since I owe her tips and I should come back sooner sometimes when she's at work guess she doesn't work ther...
