The atmosphere was very comfortable and the waitress was friendly and humorous. Food was phenomenal! I would have loved to come back and try more of their dishes. I don't think you can go wrong here.

I’m glad that I found my favorite place at US but sadly it’s not located in my hometown. The food they served has really high quality and great flavor. Everything was so good! Include the dessert. This place is special.

The tapas were exceptional. I tried the shaved zucchini, which was very light but absolutely delicious. The fried cauliflower came with an excellent sauce, and the fried shrimp and sausage had a fantastic broth. I will definitely return! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5. View menu

As for vegetarian options: I mostly eat vegetarian with the occasional fish dish. They had fantastic vegetarian choices, and I even tried the tuna, which was cooked to perfection and had no fishy taste at all. Excellent! Extraodinary restaurant. I'm a little picky but we ordered five dishes, everything beside the mussels are very good. I would say it is way much better than some of the fine dining I've been to in New York or other places. Sure the price can seem to be a little high at first but this is Bar Harbor. For the same price you might only get microwaved soup at Jordan Pond. So a must go!

We were pleasantly surprised to find amazing, nuanced food with fresh ingredients and simple seasonings here in Bar Harbor. It was not easy selecting our favorites but mine had to be the Mushroom Confit and my partner chose the Chorizo Shrimp. These great tapas are complimented by a comfortable atmosphere, and friendly attentive service. If we lived in the area we would be regulars. No comment on the food as we didn’t get the opportunity to try. Feedback to the restaurant would be that when it’s pouring with rain, and your potential customers are walking 15 minutes with a baby to eat (35 minutes before advertised closing), it would be appreciated to activate the online waiting list described on the website, rather than turning people away who expected no wait. “We didn’t have time, and no those 2 open seats aren’t available” didn’t leave a particularly pleasant taste.

Every once in a while you are lucky enough to wander into the perfect restaurant experience. Every dish is prepared with care. The staff make you feel welcome. The pacing is perfect, matching your mood and never interrupting the conversation. If you want a perfect finding experience, then you have to try Ciao. The owners are in the kitchen and on the floor, obviously obsessed with making the experience perfect. It’s an intimate space, friendly people and it’s so obvious they care about quality. A decade ago, I ate Tapas for the first time while in Madrid for work. About four years ago, I ate at my first tapas style restaurant in the States. Now tapas style restaurants seem to be increasingly more common. Typically, they have been a mixed bag for me. I usually end up wishing I had larger portions of a singular dish, or just end up being displeased with everything as they focus on presentation over flavor.
