"We enjoyed dinner at Clancy 's several years ago and have been trying to get back. We finally got a Friday night reservation and the evening started out strong but we left disappointed. Appetizers we tried: egg plant fries and chicken sausage gumbo were both tasty. The Boston salad and Romaine salad were both excellent. After a lengthy sales job from the waiter about the excellent sushi grade tuna special, it arrived so over cooked that it was inedible. When the waiter checked in after I had eaten what was cooked correctly and saw all of the overcooked tuna still on the plate, he urged me to let him know next time which would mean I would need to get up from the table and hunt him down because he was nowhere in sight after the food arrived. My husband ordered the sirloin which was excellent; however, the fries and greens that were served as sides were cold and the greens were bitter. The coconut pie was average and could have been straight from a box. The ice cream was excellent. We ordered two cafe au laits with dessert and the first one was served with great flair and mixed at the table. It was delicious; however, the other one didn 't arrive until we were finished with dessert. The staff appears to be concerned with the guest experience but just doesn 't deliver. Dinner for two was $230 and just not worth it. There are too many other options for excellent fine dining in New Orleans, we won 't return."

Food was very good but the place was really noisy. Hard to enjoy a meal when you can't talk.

A great place for out of towners to eat where the true locals eat. Everbody from the reservations, the bartenders, waiters and our fellow customers treated

If your looking for awesome food and service that's not a tourist trap this is your place. It's always full of locals and even celebrities (Cooper Manning was at the table next us). Everything here is great but the Lamb Chops are truly life changing! View menu

I made reservations for dinner but then needed to cancel. I have been trying multiple times a day for three days. Their website claims they answer the phone starting at 11:00. They do not. It either rings endlessly or you get a busy signal. I will try again tomorrow, but after that I'm done. Maybe they'll get the message.when we don't show up.

We were in New Orleans for a friend's birthday in mid-December came here for dinner on a Thursday night. After a very brief wait at the bar we were seated at our table. Drinks arrived promptly and the service was attentive all evening. We ordered a bunch of apps for the table that were all great (especially the veal and ricotta meatballs). For dessert we had the famous icebox pie and it did not disappoint. Wonderful experience!
