"There are more good reasons than ever to visit Hazel Dell these days, and Patras is one of them. Patras is a no-frills, simple take-out/sit-down joint with counter service. But you're not here for the ambiance. You're here for the tastiest gyros, falafel, hummus, garlic sauce, baklava, and more on the North Bank and the best falafel I've had in decades. The food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. They're busy every time we've been in, but our food is ready in a very reasonable amount of time. The menu is easy on your wallet and the portions are large. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Kali orexi!"

"Looking for a piece of “old Vancouver” and a solid affordable, homestyle breakfast? Look no further than Joe Brown’s! Walking in is like stepping back in to the 1950s, complete with super experienced waitstaff that call you “hon” or “dear.” It’s always packed, so get there early if you don’t want to wait in line. The menu is pretty much straight up American fare with reasonable prices for large, well prepared food. Eggs are cooked just the way you want them. They have omelettes, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, bottomless coffee and it just feels warm and cozy. A Vancouver tradition and a must go to breakfast spot. I have only eaten breakfast there, but I seem to remember lunch items too and a kids menu, maybe. Anyway, eat there! Support a wonderful, local part of Vancouver history!"

In Vancouver, while there may be a shortage of some things, good Thai food is definitely not one of them. This place promises delicious meals and captivating tales!"

"I am so very pleased that I came here for lunch while I was in the area! The staff were very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The food was as expected. I was very happy there was a small size available, as I never seem to be able to finish anything more. And there was a generally serene feeling to the place (despite the loud refrigerator running). "So somehow I missed that Sushi Mo has entrees in my previous visits. Guess I just never got that far. I was still questioning what I was gonna get and then I hear this sizzling sound across the restaurant and then the smell hit me. I asked the waiter if that was the beef yakiniku that I was smelling and he just kind of smiled and nodded. Okay... definitely getting that then. The sushi is always top notch and the ginger dressing on their regular house salad is like crack. It has no business being as refreshing and delicious as it is, but it is. The miso salmon entree has my name on it next time around."
