"We had an absolutely lovely evening here! From the first greeting to the final check everyone was friendly and helpful. We snagged one of the last early reservations and drove over from Bar Harbor. Both servers were politely turning down reservation requests and walk-ins while we were there. For dinner we shared the simple greens which contained beets and thinly sliced apples among the greens with an amazing vinaigrette. We also split the scallops which were sublime. Perfectly cooked in a bed of maple sweet potatoes. A generous portion too, seemed designed to be shared. For entrees we had the halibut (literally perfect in every way) and the lobster with pasta, also a lovely dish. We paired dinner with a French Chablis from their interesting /eclectic wine list. Our final course was a lovely panna cotta and a port wine flight. Our only regret was that we had a cocktail before we left our inn in Bar Harbor. Mouse the bartender had some unique offerings that we would love to try. All in, we would come back in a heartbeat and plan to the next time we are in the area."

Every course was outstanding. Best steak I’ve ever eaten and the service was the best I’ve ever experienced.

Visiting for the weekend and the food here is very tasty! Had the halibut and my husband had the bolognese. The staff is also really kind. Would definitely recommend.

Without a doubt, this was the best meal we enjoyed during our visit to Bar Harbor. Everything was exceptional, from the drinks and mocktails to the food. The service was outstanding as well. View menu

The food and service here are outstanding. They use locally sourced ingredients, and the craft cocktails are fantastic. I highly recommend trying the Brussels sprouts and sunchokes; they are amazing. The lamb chops are cooked to perfection, and the cheese board is wonderful. Alex is a delightful server who recommended my new favorite wine! The timing of the courses was excellent, and the music created a lovely atmosphere. This place is a perfect gem in Northeast, whether you’re dining alone or on a date! View menu

Four of us went to Copita restaurant last night. My wife and I shared the brie in pastry appetizer and the artichoke appetizer. Both were delicious. The bread in roasted garlic olive oil was a special treat. We also had the duck breast over roasted corn risotto. The duck was cooked to perfection and very moist. The risotto soft but not overcooked and delicately seasoned. The roasted corn added a touch of sweetness. Hmm! The waiter suggested a red wine blend and it complemented the meal very well. Top shelf bar. Attentive wait staff. Excellent night out.

We were searching for a cozy spot for dinner away from the tourist crowds and discovered this delightful restaurant. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The service was both friendly and professional. The food was exceptional! The gnocchi with wild mushrooms was simply amazing! The roasted sunchokes and Brussels sprouts with maple and mustard glaze were incredible! My son ordered his ribeye cooked medium-well (which I imagine was a challenge for the chef), but it turned out perfect. My butter-poached lobster was also done to perfection. For dessert, the mango accompanied by mango sorbet, coconut foam, and roasted coconut was the ideal finishing touch. Great job, everyone! My family en...

"Great food. After moving from the SF Bay Area to Brookings last year, our biggest disappointment is the total lack of fine restaurants. And when I say fine food I mean FRESH, high-quality ingredients, from scratches...view to detail...view of EVERY detail... We arrived shortly before the conclusion in Black Trumpet Bistro. We were warmly welcomed by 2 ZWEI! various employees. As in: A big smile and you can sit anywhere. You thought we were the first customers in the evening. I do a big thing about it because I just can't stand when a restaurant is closed and served at the same time. You know... bad service, silvered cutlery, waiter can't wait to go home... On my review: The Focaccia bread is as good as it gets. Homemade, warm and fresh. with infused olive oil and balsamico vinegar. Sooo good. I ordered the pork stall with Polnta, which was delicious. It came with freshly cooked spinach....yum... I had a glass of Chardonnay. The service was excellent and continued during our meal. My husband had the Chicken Marsala, which was also excellent. It came with fresh green beans that were perfectly cooked yet a little crisp and not overcooked We ended our evening with the Tiramisu, which was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. We had the special pleasure to meet the owners Rob and Kylie this time. They are unbelievable on Earth and only really nice people. I think they put their heart and soul in black trumpet. This is the best food in Brookings. Rob and Kylie seem to know the secret of success in the DETAILS. The food, service and ambience is wonderful. Unpredictable. There is no doubt that we will be back."

"9 years since our last meal here ... and it's STILL a 5* from me. This time, my husband and I had 3 meals here in the span of a week. Twice I had the Red Curry (veggies being my add-in of choice, which adds Carrots, Broccoli, and Cabbage to the usual ingredients . They allowed substituting Jasmine rice with Brown rice for $1 more, so I happily did that. Spice level choices were 0-5; I chose 5, and it was about right (a bit weak for my heat tolerance, but enough to enjoy . It has a decent amount of veggies, but too much curry for me to eat all of it. I enjoyed it both times. My husband had a Rainbow Wok Fry with veggies for one meal. He enjoyed the taste; he thought it was a garlic-based sauce. He chose a spice level of 4, which gave some heat without making him feel like his mouth was on fire by the time he finished. Portion size was very good for the price. Another time he had the Garlic Prawns Peanut Sauce, which came with eight! prawns (quite generous these days and steamed veggies (most noticeably broccoli, but also mushrooms, onions, cilantro, and at least one other . The garlic sauce itself was delicious, but the side of peanut sauce was really great. Not sickly sweet like at many Thai restaurants, it added another dimension to the flavor profile of the dish. Very enjoyable (yeah, I did eat some of it, so what? . We also each had a Papaya salad once. Admittedly we don't order this very often in Thai restaurants, but all the other times we've had it, the papaya and other ingredients were on a bed of lettuce. Not here. The lettuce comes separately, so it doesn't get soggy, and can even be used to make a few wraps if you feel like it. The fish sauce lime dressing was delicious. Another winner in my book. The Fresh Summer Rolls with tofu tasted fresh described, and were very well wrapped. They came with the same delicious peanut sauce as described above. Service ranged from fast when very crowded, to ridiculously fast when nearly empty; once, our meals were delivered to our table in less than 5 minutes of us ordering. All servers were very pleasant, but one in particular stood out. Five days after our first meal here, when we came for our second meal, he remembered me, and that I prefer hot water instead of ice water. He brought it without me saying a word! That's a crazy good memory, and fantastic service. Considering service, pricing, and food, it remains a solid 5* for me."
