"We recently had our 50th class reunion from William Penn High School in New Castle, Delaware and decided to revisit this restaurant where we used to hang out in our younger days. It was a favorite spot, especially after one of our friends got her license at 16. The service was excellent and courteous, and the restaurant tends to get busy during the summer months. I even won a gift certificate as a door prize during our reunion, so I'll definitely be coming back soon. The menu offers a variety of options, making it a great place to bring the whole family and enjoy a meal together."

The service is always fast, even when there are long lines. Just keep in mind that they only accept cash. However, this small inconvenience is not enough to deter me from coming back. I appreciate that this restaurant is privately owned.

Dairy Palace is unbeatable when it comes to ice cream. They offer a wonderful variety of sundaes and a wide selection of toppings and mix-ins, as well as delicious milkshakes. The ice cream is real, not like the ice milk served at most other places. The staff is friendly, but I just wish the restaurant had longer operating hours.

The kind girl at the counter (I believe her name was Denai) realized we were first-time visitors and provided us with multiple samples after we selected our favorite ice cream flavors and toppings. Wow !!! This place has sooo many icecream options!!! They also have gelato, soda, shakes, and so much more. They even have gluten free cones. They have soft serve ice cream and make many sundae creations. Be sure to bring cash as this is a cash only place. They also get busy quick during the dinner rush. But the workers move fast!!! This seasonal ice cream shop, located across from New Castle County Airport on Route 141, accepts only cash as payment. In addition to ice cream, they also offer chips, hot dogs, and sodas. The main attraction, however, is their traditional soft serve ice cream. Whenever I have my first cone of the season, I feel like summer has officially begun. This place has been serving customers for around 65 years and is considered a Delaware institution that is a must-try.
