"This iconic restaurant was not disappointed. Tracey, our server, was top notch. She brought the boiled crust fish, sat next to me and gave me step by step instructions on how to remove the crust. My first time I eat cancer and it was delicious! My husband had the crab ridge and gave him 4 stars. It was a bit too much cheese for its taste. Our friend ordered the crab filled Flounder; there were 5 stars. We ordered amber beer, served in a large chilled glasses. It seemed to be a favorite of the locals. If you are looking for home cooked food and fresh seafood away from the French Quarter, Deanie’s will be a great choice in the Garden District."

Deanie's has been a favorite of mine wgeb I travel to NOLA for at least 25 years. The BBQ shrimp, fried seafood platter, stuffed mushrooms and remolade dressing are the best.

Smaller than the Quarter location, but appreciated the ability to make a reservation. The food was delicious, servings huge, and service super friendly. If we lived nearby, we would be regulars!

The food was great and the quantities were crazy but worth every cent. This was a wonderful experience for my first night NOLA. Our server was also the bartender so that was a little slower than I would have expected but it was a great experience overall.

Delicious!!! Starting the boiled potatoes were amazing. A touch of spices as they were cooked with Cajun season! Shrimp Po's boy was tasteful and the shrimp was fried to a perfect golden brown and had a light coating of dough. The seafood Okra Gumbo was tasteful and had a lot of okra and shrimp! Let's go back to the Garden District next time!
