The cracklings were a little greasy. Couldn't eat them with all of the grease coming out with each bite.

The selection of meats, spices, and of course, boudin is excellent. The customer service is also outstanding.

Navy moved me all the way to Virginia, but it doesn't stop me from ordering from Don's or the best stop to get my fix. Love the seasoning. I mix it in four when frying pork chops. View menu

Excellent!! If you've never had cracklins before, ask for a sample, they're very kind here and will introduce you right. While not traditional, I preferred the chicken to the pork and the seafood boudin was amazing. Definitely worth the 5 minute detour from the freeway.

This place is great! Really just a stop in and pick up boudin/sausage and Cracklin shop inside a nice gas station, but no need for anything else!! The fresh hot cracklins and fried boudin balls were freaking awesome!! Service is a bit slow, so plan to be there for a bit if there's a line, but it wasn't terrible and they packed everything up nicely for us. Definitely plan to stop by if you're in the area!! Ok. The boudin balls. Amazing. The chicken cracklings. Amazing. The pork cracklings. Ok. I have had much better. But the chicken cracklings were new to me and everyone loved them. The seafood boudin and egg rolls were great. The staff was not the most helpful at the front. The girls seemed a bit put out to answer questions. If it was not for that this would have been the best place of our trip. Give it a try. Maybe those girls needed a day off.

If you are looking for a good place to stop, rest, grab snacks and food to eat on the road, this is your place! This is a popular tourist spot so they stay busy! There are two bathrooms (one for each men/]women) so they only allow for one person at a time. If you have an ice chest and want to grab some meat to travel home with they have a lot of choose from. Or you can choose from their hot items like crawfish pies or cracklings! I highly recommend both! They are amazing!!!! They also have your regular drinks and convenience store items to choose from! A great place to stop!!

We ended up trying six different items from the fried menu, and the standout was definitely the fried boudin with pepper jack cheese. The boudin was incredibly flavorful, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the batter was reminiscent of a fantastic piece of fried chicken. It was absolutely delicious! The ambiance is similar to that of a meat market or grocery store, and I appreciated that the restrooms were clean. Just a note: don’t be inconsiderate and stop by just to use the restrooms. Treat yourself and the owners right by grabbing a sampler of their delicious offerings instead! View menu
