"I never leave reviews and I usually never order bbq but my kids wanted something different from their usual lol..So I decided to take a chance and order from the Full Moon in Trussville for the 1st time. I am happy to say I was very pleased with our order!! Everything was separated nicely ! I was super pleased with the baked potatoes because every time I order a baked potato from other places to go it is not soft and always leave out the condiments for the potato! But Full Moon had me eating the potato and the skin!!! My kids food was also prepared nicely and they did to enjoy their meal as well!!! I will definitely order from the Full Moon in Trussville again!! I know working in food can be hard at times due to some customers but I wanted the workers at this location to know that the food would have not been what it was if it was not for them today!! You all are appreciated and thank you so much for the good service!!Kid-friendliness: The kids meal was prepared nicely and even gave them a cookie! Lol since I never order from there I did not know they gave the kids a cookie with their meal. You know at times it’s the little things that matter!"

Need employees that will listen to customers and don't take 15 minutes to get food ready. When someone ask for a grill cheese plate I got this very wrong.Food: 1/5

This is a fantastic restaurant to visit in Birmingham, Alabama. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is excellent. They also offer a wide variety of beers to complement your meal. Food rating: 5/5.

I ordered delivery through T2Go and got a BBQ pork plate with BBQ sauce. I requested the BBQ sauce on the meat, but they didn't add any at all and instead included a side of white sauce meant for something else. Unfortunately, the BBQ pork is not flavorful enough to be enjoyed without sauce. How do you forget to add BBQ sauce to a BBQ dish? View menu

When I finally reached the window, in the midst of a contraction, I asked if my food could be handed to me before I paid. The employee seemed annoyed and said no. At that point, I just gave up. We’ve already given this place too many chances, as we often receive the wrong orders or face other issues. Waiting 32 minutes while enduring contractions and dealing with a crying 15-month-old in the backseat was the last straw. I refuse to return, and I caution anyone considering the drive-thru to think twice before getting in line.

SvrCk122 on 7/22/23 5:02 PMWent through the drive thru and ordered a half pound bacon cheeseburger only. No other parts to the order. When I received the order, I checked to make sure there was a sandwich but didn't unwrap it. Once I got home, I found that I had a chicken sandwich. Very disappointed that I paid 9 bucks for something I didn't want and couldn't eat since it had some kind of spicy relish on it. I hope someone else enjoyed that burger. I'm tired of this location getting my drive thru orders wrong. Good luck if you choose to go there.

We placed a take out order a week before the 4th. We paid for it at the time. When we got there to pick it up they couldn't find the order. When they found the order, the ticket had been closed out. We watched numerous people pick their called in order while we waited. When we said something the manager said there were 20 orders ahead of ours.....no..there was not. We called the week prior. They had to make up the order after they realized they closed the ticket out. I would have never left a bad review but being told we HAD to be patient because there were 20 orders ahead of us just really irked me. View menu

This looked like such a cute place. Loved the name and outside. Was close to several hotels. Manager was very nice. Cashier was still learning. Nice to have a draft beer selection and she let me taste 2 before picking. The food was where I had an issue. 3 of us got potatoes. The regular is two potatoes together. Really giant and enough food for 2. But they weren’t hot. The butter and cheese never melted. The skin was so tough you couldn’t cut it with the plastic knives. A big disappointment. The sandwich was loaded with meat and the onion rings were amazing. Not sure I’d go back. Although I will say the drive through was very busy and take out was as well on a Saturday night.

I love this restaurant, the menu, but just as much as I enjoy the food, I equally enjoy the hospitality of each server, as well as the management (who has never displayed any ego of superiority towards their employees, or towards the customers. They always want to make sure that they get the orders correct and even if they are super busy, they still extend the most courteous service to you. If you have a taste for some ribs, or even a slice of coconut pie (one of my favorites), this is the place for you.Kid-friendliness: They always have the kids that have fundraisers and have them serve customers, so they get an early taste of the work force, while simultaneously showing them the importance...

"If there is a restaurant that is a Birmingham institution among the wealthier crowd, there is literally only one name that locals would bring up, and it is undoubtedly Highlands. Not that there aren't other nice restaurants, but this spot has proven itself over time and is ran by a chef that most Alabamians are quite proud of. Opened in 1982, Highland's is a place that put Birmingham on the map in a positive way at a time when the post industrial iron period was about to wind down and transform the city. Frank formalized his cooking techniques by working in kitchens of San Francisco and France, creating a medley of American Southern and French cuisine that is difficult to find elsewhere. It was not a time when it was common to see a chef from Alabama going to study cooking in Europe, thus the story was already an anomaly. Frank Stitt was trying to pioneer sustainable agriculture and farming well before anybody in Alabama knew what in the world that actually meant or for that matter, cared. One of the signature items is the baked grits that has been around since the restaurant opened. It's a tasty grits preparation and without a doubt, something to try. The pheasant was spectacular, fairly lean and with a crispy delicious skin, served with grits and green beans. Pastries here are created by Dolester Miles, who has been in the job for well over 30 years. The opera cake is absolutely spectacular, gentle and complexly layered. The basque cake is peachy and moist, with a crispy delicious exterior and Chantilly cream. Not only are these likely the best desserts to discover in Alabama, but may be some of the best to be found in America. The attentiveness got derail was clearly evident. As far as service, generally fine, but not particularly attentive. The waitress did not seem in much of a mood to welcome people to the establishment. Many items on the menu were running out by 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Nobody was particularly impressed with the flounder that got substituted for the grouper. And then there are other questions, why would you run out of grits? They know they are always filled to capacity and ingredients to make grits are not immediately perishable. Highland's has by this point in Birmingham's history become a classic. It's evident that most people here have been around for decades working at their jobs and serving the rich crowds of Mountain Brook. It's a place of great food and shows many combinations of ingredients that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere, let alone be executed this well."
