"For my daughter, we ordered a prosciutto and salami sub, and let me say, the photos don’t do it justice. The staff were friendly and accommodating; one of the guys even gave my daughter a chocolate chip cookie from the counter, which was a thoughtful touch. I was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed our meal. I initially thought the prices were on the higher side, but the sandwich sizes are definitely substantial enough for two people or for two servings. The only downside is the parking, which is limited to the side streets and can be challenging, and there isn’t any seating available outside or inside the restaurant."

"I just picked up the chicken and waffles after seeing great reviews about the chicken. I have to say, the chicken is among the best I’ve had in a long time—I’ll definitely be back for it! It's fresh, well-seasoned, and the homemade buffalo sauce pairs perfectly with it. However, I was disappointed by the cold, hard waffles. I wasn’t expecting that at all; I wanted to dip them in syrup and enjoy them with the delicious chicken. Fresh waffles alongside this chicken would have truly made my day, but just like the weather today, it was cold."

"my man and I visited this diner on Friday morning and we both had our masks up and decided to sit on the back at one of the stands. there were these dame who worked the casser and every time she would pass our table, she would cough loudly. first I thought wow, she should wear a mask if she doesn't feel good, but after the third time, my man and I observed that she did it only every time she went past the table. Finally, the previous time (yes it was a forward) she did the fake cough thing and admired her coworkers); that strengthened what we suspected was doing it before. I thought that would not be nice to treat customers who wear their masks in an NJ restaurant. the bad news is, we will never return this dune thanks to it; the good news is raymond is just a few steps away and is much more inviting with better manage and customer service."

"Been coming here for many years, for parties, business and personal dinners, but this last visit was disappointing. Several food items arrived cold or overcooked. The waiter forgot to bring an item we ordered and it wasn't even acknowledged. For the prices paid, I don't believe the value warrants another visit. I will, however, note that the entire staff knew this was an anniversary celebration and that was a nice touch. Sorry to say I cannot recommend the Highlawn, at this time. It seems to have lost its luster as being one of the finest establishments in the area. Quality of food, service and overall value always outweigh location and ambience."

"3.5 stars but rounded up to 4. I had ordered the Chef Deluxe which is the long plate. The other plate was a filet mignon sushi and the white plate is an Aozora special which was kind of like a lite version of what I got. I consider the Chef Deluxe like a pseudo omakase because everything was presented together instead of one at a time (however I was not sitting at the sushi bar.. it appeared to be closed or being used for takeout bag storage) The sushi, sashimi, rolls, etc are exactly what you would expect. The wasabi was fake (as expected it 's horseradish). The fish was fresh enough to me as nothing tasted off. (Ordering uni usually helps me figure out how fresh the seafood is but I decided not to order it that day) Overall I enjoyed my meal and would go back in the future."
