"I 'll start with the bad about this place and then end it on a good note. The service is hit-and-miss but overall I would rate it poor. We have been here a number of times and usually go on Sundays with a party of four. It is not uncommon for us to wait up to an hour for our food to arrive, after we place our order. I understand that things happen and sometimes restaurants get slammed with customers, etc. I get it. But the slow service here is just too frequent. It 's unacceptable. The last time we were here, we waited an hour after we ordered and then we finally just got fed up, and left. Even the customer 's sitting at the table next to us said to me, I thought it was just us they were slow with . I mentioned the poor service to the server before we left, and she just did the blame game and blamed the cooks in the back, and didn 't appear genuinely apologetic. Frankly, I don 't want to hear who 's fault it is. To me, it 's everyone 's fault, including the server/s. Poor team work and poor managing. We are to the point now where we likely won 't come back to this place, which is a shame because the food and atmosphere are great, which leads me to the good... We like to come here after Church on Sunday 's because the food is really good. Their deep fried mushrooms are great and could be a meal in itself. I love 'em as does my mother-in-law! After a meal here, we never leave hungry or feeling dissatisfied with the food. That is saying something because my wife and in-laws are some of the pickiest eaters I know. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes, so one can 't complain, especially considering the inflation we 've been seeing at restaurants the past 1+ years. Atmosphere is that of a small, mom pop home town diner. Grandma 's Recipes appears to be a common place for locals to dine."
