I took my friend to lunch at Gyu Kaku and it was his first time coming, my fourth exceptional quality food for a fantastic price that's hard to find anywhere else in Calgary, my friend greatly enjoyed his rice bowl I had the basil chicken and teriyaki ribye (or was it chuck? , the matcha tiramisu was perfectly balanced with earthy, bittersweet, floral, creamy with a trace of dark chocolate. Until next time Gyu Kaku! Y'all are rockstars!"

Great food and concept. Server was nice, but service was very slow. Often out of water, brought out a dessert for the birthday boy but didn’t take the rest of the guest’s Dessert order, Waited a long time to get the bill

While the food was good, the service was lacking. It seemed as though they were understaffed. From there not being a host at the door upon arrival, to slow service in beverage refills and advancement from one course to the next and grill replacement.
