Hartz Chicken Buffet

I ordered the fish dish, and it was both delicious and served hot. I really wish the restaurant would fully reopen instead of only offering drive-thru service.

Newly renovated location. Buffet has gloves and disposable products for the buffet. Meat is cooked to order! Really not what I expected. No one was there, so I got a buffet. Buffet selections were fresh (open only) and seasoned until perfection.

I was very disappointed with my experience and won’t be returning to this location. I ordered chicken livers and was told to wait, which I’m accustomed to since livers aren’t often ordered. I usually expect fresh food, no matter where I go. So, I was surprised to find that when I checked the bag shortly after leaving the drive-thru, the livers were at best lukewarm. Additionally, many of them were quite small.

The restaurant has recently been remodeled, and I was pleasantly surprised by the changes. They provide gloves and disposable items for the buffet, which adds a nice touch of hygiene. One standout feature is that the meat is cooked to order — definitely not what I was expecting! Since I was the only customer at the time, the buffet experience was quite enjoyable for me. The selections were fresh, having just opened, and everything was seasoned to perfection.

I just went to this location and ordered a 10 piece for 11.99 and the sign states I can add 5 rolls for 2.50. The guy told me that it's 4 rolls in the system. I advised him the sign states 5 rolls. I asked for a manager and he said she was going to tellme the same thing. It is false advertising if your sign say one thing but you tell me something else. I left and went toPopeyes. I truly love this restaurant! The staff is always the same whenever I come in, which is usually around 4-6 times a month. They recognize me and even announce my order over the loudspeaker. They are consistently friendly and welcoming. The food is made fresh after you order, so there’s a bit of a wait. Depending on how big your order is, the wait time can be anywhere from about 5 to 20 minutes. They only serve hot, fresh chicken and fish, so you can trust the quality. By the time I get home, which is about 12 minutes away, the food is still piping hot. It’s the perfect spot to pick up a warm meal for my family.

While we were dining, two customers came in to pick up to-go orders, and both had issues with the incorrect amounts in their packages. The cook did a great job with the flavors, but a buffet typically offers a variety of options, and this one had no chicken available unless you specifically asked for it. I was extremely disappointed with this experience. That makes two locations in Humble that I will avoid in the future. Honestly, it’s worth the drive to La Marque for the best Hartz Buffet—I plan to make that trip next time or try the one in Alvin again. First, even with the senior discount, it was the most expensive Hartz buffet I ever had. They had no meat on the buffet when we arrived there. We always had to ask them for meat. You would bring out six pieces of roasted chicken and then you had to wait for more. We asked for hot wings three times and 45 minutes later got fried wings without hot sauce. Then we had to wait for hot sauce. I'll never go to this place again. Two people came back to get orders while we eat. Both because they were not packed with the wrong amount.
