"Haru Ramen House in Layton, Utah, is a mixed bag in terms of dining experience. Starting with the positives, the appetizers were undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. They were flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived quickly. The gyoza, for instance, had a delightful crispness on the outside with a savory filling, and the takoyaki was a pleasant surprise with its rich flavors and texture. However, the main attraction—the ramen—was a bit of a letdown. While it wasn’t outright bad, it failed to stand out. The broth lacked the depth and richness one would expect from authentic ramen, and the noodles were just average. The toppings were sufficient but didn’t elevate the dish, leaving the overall experience underwhelming. The biggest disappointment, though, was the service. The staff seemed inattentive, and it took a long time to get refills or assistance. The lack of hospitality and care took away from what could have been a more enjoyable meal. It felt as though the staff were either overworked or simply uninterested, which was unfortunate given the potential of the restaurant. Overall, Haru Ramen House has its moments with the appetizers, but the average ramen and poor service make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. With some improvements in customer service and a bit more attention to the quality of the ramen, this spot could become a much better dining destination. The spicy tonkotsu Ramen was so absurdly salty it was almost inedible. I know Ramen is usually super salty but this was to an extent that I don't believe it would be safe to eat a whole serving. The shrimp udon didn't have the same problem though, so at least there's that. Of course I was unable to get any kind of refund through uber eats, but if I had dined in I imagine they'd be willing to replace it. Service: Delivery Food: 3 View menu

update I’ve been here 4 times since my first review and it just keeps getting better. Service is consistently amazing even when they are very busy, and I have now tried different menu items that have all been pretty good. Amazing! We had the chashu pork buns, spicy ramen, curry ramen and split an order of chicken katsu and a banana boba. Quantities were very good for the price paid, and staff was very kind. I look forward to many more visits here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been here multiple times, and I can say I absolutely love it here. It’s a great place to get good food to fill you up, with decent price, quiet and friendly atmosphere, with a little bit extra to eat the next day. I would recommend people Atleast try it once! Some people don’t realize that this is a small business and most likely family owned. With limited staff, it’s always hard to deal with big rushes. Lose your attitude and have some understanding. They’re trying their best. Thank you to all the people who work there for always being kind and giving me great food!
