Hometown Burger - Menu

I dined at Hometown Burger for the first time and mentioned that I found them through Texas Eats when I arrived. They recommended the Big Boy Burger, chili cheese fries, and a chocolate shake. Everything was simply delicious! Let's show our support for local restaurants!

This was a very bad experience. I ordered mushrooms with Gravy. They were cold and hard like they had been sitting there forever. The fries were cold. Omg and the burgers. The meat looked like it was there all day and they reheated the meat. They supposedly make it fresh. It was not. Then they were out of ice cream. How can you be out of ice cream? Do they need new management to teach how to order their supplies. Very unsatisfactory for a restaurant to put made fresh when it clearly is not.

Dont get me wrong, the burger was quite tasty. Cooked well, bun toasty perfection, but was mislead into believing I was getting my hands on a large burger combo, and the Big Boy combo my husband got was well, husky at best. Received burgers i could havepassed for small, the very small white fry bags that came with, were not at all full. We also shared a really good chocolateshake, but if your paying $6 for a shake, come on make it look like a $6 cup. I could have pig out elsewhere for $36. Chalk itup to a learning experience. Service has gotten worse in the past month the current output of quality food has been poor. Chicken was overcooked and over salted. The burger was burnt, and very hard to chew. No sweet tea no sweet potato fries after ordering !30! minutes later we getour food and notified they were out of these items. We've been to this establishment everywhere weekend for the last 5 monthsand this has been second time the quality has been poor. Generally you give service a second chance but today wasunsatisfactory. We will have to find another burger place.

Extremely disappointed that this business has decided to charge customers for using debit/credit cards by adding 4% to non cash purchases. Credit card fees are a part of doing business, if a business chooses to accept them, and placing advertised cashprices on the menu then adding additional charge for customers who choose not to carry cash has cost them my business. I do notdo business with businesses that charge me for paying in a payment form they choose to accept. If a business I choose to use iscash only, I know I need cash before I decide to patronize that business. I am very disappointed that Hometown Burger has introduced a 4% fee for customers paying with debit or credit cards. Processing fees are a commonplace aspect of doing business for companies that choose to accept these payment methods. It's frustrating that they've listed prices for cash payments on the menu but then impose extra charges for those who opt to use cards. This policy has cost them my patronage; I refuse to support any establishment that penalizes me for using a payment method that they willingly accept. I understand that cash-only businesses require me to come prepared with cash before visiting. It's unfortunate because Hometown Burger serves delicious food, but I cannot accept...

Tried for the first time lunch today. To start was given a $1 up charge to a larger combo without being asked. Tried the fries first, lukewarm, soggy and overly salty. Then the burger again barely warm. Unlike the picture on the website showing what looks like a generous sized handmade patty, the patty had rounded edges (frozen? and was significantly smaller than the bun. I got the bacon cheeseburger which had one slice of bacon laid across the burger. At least cut it in half to get a little coverage... Then I took two sips of the unsweetened tea I got with the combo before dumping the whole thing. It had some taste maybe resembling dish soap? So bottom line not tasty, not warm, not worth it...
