"My boyfriend and I have been treating ourselves annually to the Crispy Fried Fish Fillet香辣魚, sautéed with fried red chili, garnished with cilantro (Rice not included). We used to have a favorite version of this dish from a spot in Williamsburg but did a comparison recently and HUPO makes it the best. The flavors are more balanced, quality of the red chilis is more fragrant, the batter remains crispy, the fish is soft and flakey, and we appreciate a topping of a bunch of cilantro (stuck to the bo … – show"

Small cozy place. Better to make a reservation. Food was ok. Service was quick. wonder why is this a Michelin star resturant?

Excellent food and service. Better than any place I’ve tried in San Francisco China town. The cocktail with peppercorn infused tequila was a bit much though lol View menu

Outstanding meal. Couldn’t stop eating and forgot to take pics! Wonton soup, soup dumplings, dumplings in chili oil, Dan Dan noodle, cumin lamb and green peas were deli pious and perfectly spiced. The only dish that didn’t wow us was the duck.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in NYC!! The hot chilly oil on the dumplings is Bomb!! The spicy chicken is really good. Everything I’ve eaten from Hupo has been extremely on point. Impressed with this place every time. Good date spot with nice lighting and great service. They serve beers and sake as well. View menu

My third time eating at Hupo and it just keeps getting better every time I come back and visit NYC. Service is attentive and orderly and everyone that works there is so friendly. In addition the food is Top tier. Fresh, flavorful, portions are perfect. This is definitely a spot to share plates with a group of people to try everything! My party of 4 got a variety of dishes that probably could’ve fed 6—7 people! What we ordered: Dumplings in chili oil, Shumai, Vegetable Gyoza, cold noodles, duck … – show

Amazing group meal restaurant with a ton of vegan and vegetarian options. Menu is not labeled with vegan items but staff is very knowledgeable and there are many options including grandmas tofu, green beans, mustard green friend rice without egg and mapo tofu which are a few favorites. This is also a great group restaurant for family style eating. Went here for Christmas dinner and the staff had raffles for each table to pick a surprise gift and we got a surprise tea kettle and lottery scratch … – show
