"Place is great, it's wildly popular and has been around since 2004 so you know they're doing it right. Iron Gate does utilize Yelp for a reservation system which likely saved us an hour wait. The building was once a school in the 1800's, turned mansion in the 30's (I believe) and now restaurant. You can feel the history of the place. It's very comfortable and had a warm vibe to the place. Long wait at peak hours but the food was incredibly worth it! Brunch all day and great Gluten Free/Vegan options. Awesome food, great service, reasonable prices, and incredible ambiance. Check it out if you’re in Albany!

Called ahead, they won’t take reservations for less than five people, so we signed up ahead on their waitlist through Yelp. We were told the wait was about an hour, and waited over two hours before eventually leaving without being seated. I am sure the food is good but I was disappointed with the system in place. Definitely worth a trip!! The food was delicious, and the coffee was great. I really enjoyed my french toast and potatoes, and would recommend giving this place a try when you have the chance! Wait times can be long, so be prepared to wait an hour or more, and if you can definitely use their online wait-list option! Definitely worth the long wait though!

I am happy to write a great review. After a terrible experience the night before at Romo's Pizza in Glenmont, I needed some good food and had it with the vegan breakfast burrito with Beyond sausage. They were overwhelmingly busy, but got me my takeout order with friendliness and in the time frame specified. Everyone was also masked, which I appreciate. It was big enough for breakfast and lunch. Nice work!

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
