"I normally pick up from Ichiban (closer to me than any other sushi place and also really delicious , but I was starving and unable to leave the house so I gambled Tokyo Sushi did a great job with the three rolls I ordered (Pink Lady, Eel Avocado, and Oshinko all were exactly as I ordered and provided in generous portions (great for sharing which my kid, who previously didn 't want any enjoyed immensely . They also added (on the house!!!! a small portion of a deep fried roll that was very different than what I had ordered but very tasty I believe it was krab stick in the center wrapped in nori with rice outside, deep fried and touched with a little spicy mayo and maybe sweet soy (or a similar complementary savory sauce . It was delicious and fun! Thank you for the extra treat (it made a late night meal after a long week very special ! Highly recommend the sushi here."

"This was our second time to this restaurant. We came back for a special Valentine’s dinner (not actually on Valentine’s Day). Our first visit was fantastic. The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were delicious so we were really looking forward to the dinner and brought friends with us. Unfortunately this experience was the complete opposite. The service was terrible. Server didn’t know the menu or what was on it. The food runners didn’t know who ordered what. They left empty drink glasses on the table even after new ones were delivered. Never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. This is an upscale, slightly expensive restaurant and this evening was a complete waste of money. Very sad to say that we won’t be going back even though we really like the atmosphere and the live music (singing Frank Sinatra, etc) is a nice extra."

"On a Saturday night, the parking lot was nearly empty. We were initially seated at a table that hadn't been cleaned, and then we were offered the option to move, which we accepted. Only two other tables were occupied. When we ordered drinks, the server returned to inform us that they didn't have Johnnie Walker Black or Macallan 12. We then requested scotch, but the server responded that they didn't have any scotch available and offered us options like Japanese whiskey, Bombay gin, or bourbon instead. We decided to leave. Having visited this restaurant two or three times before the pandemic, we were truly disappointed and shocked by this experience."

"My wife and I had a wonderful dinner there tonight in this real family owned, operated and welcoming restaurant. The food was great, The service was friendly and efficient but beware.... seating is limited and that's a good thing! Don't forget to bring your own favorite bottle of wine and ask for Jeannie. It was our first visit but we already feel like regulars. Say hello to Matt also...and the cousins."

"I absolutely adore this restaurant! The owner is such a wonderful person. Her efficiency is incredible, almost as if she was destined for the hospitality industry. Words can't fully capture how graceful and talented she is at her job. Along with the exceptional service, the food is outstanding as well. This place easily deserves a 10-star rating. The fact that they opened in Pompton and continue to thrive speaks volumes about their success. Great job, Cardinal! I always leave generous tips, often double or triple my bill, and she’s always surprised, but honestly, they truly deserve it. I love this place!"
