"Vegans, go there! I love noodles and ramen, and it is hard to get a good veganized Japanese ramen in restaurants. This place knows how to make it flavorful without sacrificing animals. All ramens can be ordered with meat broth or vegan broth. The server also asked if I want to include egg or not. My Miso ramen was chewy, rich, and salty (as it usually is . My partner's Tan Tan ramen was even more delicious: sesame savory and spicy. (You can choose from 5 levels of spiciness. Also you pick the topping of pork or tofu. The grilled tofu is also chewy and tasty. Second visit I went specifically to try the happy hour menu and ordered the followings. They were all disappointing. I will only get ramen at this place in the future. Cucumber salad: just cut up cucumber with sauce on top. Kale potsticker: ok. Not that crispy. Just warm kale insert. Garlic fried rice: It was garlic flavored rice with chopped scallion on top. Updated from previous review on 2019 05 16"

Great vegan options. I had the Wasabi broth and a mole taco.

Almost all their ramens can be veganized. Spicy options are actually spicy, super tasty.

We tried the MaLa Garlic Fried Rice and Umechurri Taco, and both dishes were packed with flavor. Our waiter, Jennifer, was very attentive and always ready to assist us. I look forward to coming back again soon. Food: 5/5 View menu

I ordered the kale potstickers and the pineapple ginger ramen. We received our food in only a few minutes! The potstickers were okay, but disappointing compared to those at Shandong. The ramen was too sweet for my liking, but I should have expected that from the pineapple.

Loved the food. Definitely get the tantan ramen I ordered the potstickers and I dumped them in the ramen. Great outdoor sitting as they have in the shade or even ones if you want some sun. Our waitress Jennifer was very attentive checking how we were doing. Will come back!Food: 5/5

One of my fav places for ramen in PDX. Love their rich creamy broth and the mal fried rice is a show stopper. The spice level is correct when they say its hot, it is HOT. I live spicy so the first time ordered a spicy one, then the next time went with one level below and it was perfect!! View menu

I ordered the kale potstickers and the pineapple ginger wheels. Our food arrived within just a few minutes! The potstickers were decent, but I found them disappointing compared to those I've had in Shandong. The rug was a bit too sweet for my taste, though I probably should have anticipated that given it was made with pineapple.

I've been a fan of Kayo's for quite some time. Almost the entire menu can be customized to be vegan. I'm hooked on the TanTan ramen, but I also really enjoy their fusion Japanese tacos. This place is not just the best vegan ramen spot in town; it's one of the best vegan Japanese restaurants in Portland, and it's not even exclusively a vegan eatery.
