Sushi is my wife's absolute favorite food, so I often accompany her wherever she goes for sushi. I usually prefer sushi rolls, but in this instance, every dish we ordered was exceptional. If it's your first visit, I recommend sticking to the Thumbs Up menu options. Food rating: 5/5. View menu

Consistently delivers. The chefs Chirashi has become a go to for me big cuts of fresh fish, a few of them very ‘melt in your mouthy’. The fresh wasabi that accompanies it is a great touch and definitely packs a punch so watch out. Pair it with a carafe of house hot sake and you’ve got yourself a good time!

After the ownership change, we went here for the first time today. The owner Richard was going around talking to patrons and was very nice. He gave us Spicy Edamame and the Miso soup on the house. Genma cha was also on the house. We ordered the Flaming Dragon, OMG, and the Scallop classic rolls. The food was pretty good. The service was great and prompt. We've been to Kazuma many times but this time it felt special. We're definitely going to keep visiting and wish Richard the very best! View menu

However, the ratio of rice to fish or meat in the Don dishes leaned too heavily towards the rice, leaving us feeling less satisfied after our meals. Additionally, the order in which the food arrived was off. Our sushi rolls only came out after we had nearly finished all the main dishes, which is rather counterproductive for something typically served as an appetizer. Unfortunately, this happened both times we visited. The servers kept asking if we needed anything else, and our response was consistently, "Our sushi." If you're looking for nice Japanese restaurant in Fremont give Kazuma a try. Not as trendy or fancy as that place near the costco on automall but nicer most othe places.Located across from Ho chow in that little strip mall on warm springs, Kazuma has a large and extensive menu. There are two spacious dining areas. Atmosphere is modern with dark paneling and ceiling, perhaps a little too dark. Ceilings are high enough to allow for conversation.Overall food is quite good. So I could have totally given this place three and a half Stars. Three was too low but four feels a little high. If I was rating it just on the sushi roll in the photo, that roll on its own is five stars. It was awesome! Can't remember what it was called and couldn't find it in the menu online, but their new menus have a fit and healthy section or something like that with three rolls and this was one of them that sounded really awesome. I highly recommend this role. It seemed like overall a lot of the stuff on the menu looked pretty cool but it all either had crunch or tempura or spicy, which are all things I can't do.
