Great place to eat in if relative is in Duke Regional and you need a break, Hibachi and Thai curry tasted authentic and good

I wish I had found this restaurant sooner - it's a hidden gem! The menu offers a wide variety of options, the portions are large, and the crab rangoons are absolutely delicious. Our food came out quickly and the staff was attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I had a great time at this restaurant, enjoying the Pho soup and other dishes. The Rice Wrap Summer/Spring Rolls were also delicious. The atmosphere is a little worn down, but I recognize that times are tough and prices are going up. Some landscaping could really enhance the overall experience. The food is amazing! View menu

Koumi always prepares your meal using fresh ingredients prepared when you order. The meals are always fresh and delicious. The menu includes a wide variety of dishes so you’re guaranteed to find something you’ll like. The service is always great as well. Koumi is my go to spot for stir fry, soup, sushi or rolls. It’s the best restaurant in the area.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and when I informed the staff that I was vegan, they recommended the Pineapple Fried Rice (without butter). It was absolutely delicious! I requested for them to leave out the cashews and raisins, as I don't like them. The portion size was large and I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. I also asked for mushrooms to be added, and they were amazing!

I was in search of chicken and shrimp tempura at this restaurant. The shrimp tempura I received was two pieces of shrimp in a rice roll with a raw shrimp on top of each piece. It tasted fresh, but it wasn't what I was looking for. I wanted individual shrimp pieces that were battered and fried. The hibachi lo mein was quite tasty with plenty of vegetables. Wide range of Asian food. Edit: Original owner sold the restaurant. It has gone downhill since then. The floors inside are so sticky that they will pull your shoes off as you walk to the counter. The fryer oil is in bad shape and makes the food taste like pig sweat. Yuck! The sushi is gas station grade at best, don’t bother, there is no longer a sushi chef. Just get your greasy “Asian” food somewhere else even if it costs a couple more dollars. So sad to see a good restaurant go downhill so fast like this.

This is the go-to spot if you're looking for variety. The selection of dishes here is incredible, and everything I've sampled has been consistently good. While not everything may be the absolute best in town due to the wide range of options, I personally think it's all very satisfying. I didn't try the sushi because I typically prefer dining at dedicated sushi spots for my raw fish fix. They also have a drive-thru, which I think is convenient for quick pick-ups. Just make sure to avoid going when there's a line, as it's better to park and go inside rather than waiting in the drive-thru for too long.

I visited Koumi tonight and asked for help ordering as vegan options were not marked on the extensive menu. The first staff member said no meat . I explained to two staff members that vegan meant no meat but also no eggs, dairy or animal products, so no butter. Several minutes after I placed the order, a staff member asked how they could cook my order without butter. I asked if they had oil. The staff member said yes, was I okay with oil? I ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice as recommended by the previous reviewer. It was very bland and tasteless compared to a similar dish at a Thai restaurant.
