"We arrived around 7 PM on a Friday night to a moderately busy crowd and were seated right away at a table adorned with a miniature pirogue holding hot sauce and squeeze bottles of tartar and cocktail sauces. Our server greeted us almost immediately and took our drink orders. The menu features a standard selection of seafood dishes, including po'boys and gumbo. Tammy ordered the shrimp po'boy and was thoroughly impressed by the generous portion of fried shrimp spilling out of the French bread. The shrimp were fried perfectly, accompanied by lettuce and fresh tomato. However, while it was delicious, it wasn't made with traditional Gambino bread, and I felt that the French bread could have been toasted for a bit more crunch—at least that's how I prefer it. Rachel tried the crab cakes and was served two beautifully browned cakes. If there's one thing Kravers excels at, it's frying. I opted for the seafood platter, which is exclusively fried with no substitutions, featuring shrimp, oysters, crab claws, sutchi, and stuffed crab. Served atop a mountain of crinkle fries, it was an astonishing amount of food! The shrimp were golden brown and served with the tails on—absolutely delicious! The oysters were slightly over-fried with too much batter. The crab claws were a generous portion and fried to perfection, while the sutchi was beautifully battered and fried as well. However, I found the stuffed crab a bit bland and dry. This platter alone could easily fulfill one's daily caloric intake. The batter and oil levels certainly won't win any health awards, but the food was freshly cooked and served at the right temperature. Although I would have preferred catfish in my platter, the menu explicitly states no substitutions. Speaking of catfish, Sam finished his catfish basket before I even had the chance to squeeze tartar sauce onto my plate! Tammy's fried okra was excellent, with fresh, bright green pieces under the batter. My seafood gumbo was decent, though not the best I've ever had, but it packed great flavor. The coleslaw was fresh and spot on as well. Our server was attentive, checking on us regularly. Overall, with a pleasant atmosphere, quick service, and good food, I would definitely return to try their steam basket next time."

"We came to Ruth Chris Mobile on a Tuesday evening. Upon entering the restaurant we were met with not one, but two signs that cell phones are not allowed in the dining room. As we are seated, there is ANOTHER homemade sign on the table, literally right in the middle of the table asking for the same. After ordering our meal, we were greeted by the manager asking if we were enjoying our time. Nothing wrong with that. After our meal was served my girlfriend decided to go ahead and take a picture of the food to post on social media to friends. Not 5 seconds after picking up her phone the manager rushed over asking why she was taking pics of the food and disrupting our meal. We put the phone down and ate, ordered dessert, had a good time. However i was very displeased that the manager felt the need to rush over and ask about pics or try and enforce some horrible policy about cell phone use at the table. I've been to many world class restaurants who weren't a Ruth Chris in Mobile and never had a silly policy like this in place. It's not like we were in LA and snapping pics of celebrities at 7 pm on a Tuesday night in Mobile. This policy makes zero sense, is class less when done with two signs in the front and silly cards on the table. Then to have the manager come and interrupt our meal about taking pics of THEIR food which we were proud to eat and show off. Its tacky, low grade and felt like a cafeteria policy with an angry lunch lady coming to enforce it in the middle of our $300 tab."
