"Krekels is the place to be in Decatur! Krekels Custard is a beloved local burger and ice cream spot, celebrated for its fantastic food. The prices here are incredibly reasonable, making all meals quite budget-friendly. You can choose from single, double, or even triple burgers, which are grilled and flattened, reminiscent of Steak 'n Shake's signature steakburgers. Krekels also offers a variety of entrees including chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, chili, and tenderloin sandwiches. Their fries are usually served hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt, although they can be a bit soggy at times. But beyond the entrees and sides, Krekels truly shines when it comes to dessert. Known for their delicious milkshakes and sundaes, their lemon soft-serve is especially popular. The shake flavors range from Hot Fudge and Chocolate to Lemon, Butterscotch, Vanilla, Strawberry, Root Beer, and more.
