"If you like sushi (and I know a lot of people don't), you should definitely give Kumori a chance. It's tucked in tightly within the shops of Alamo Ranch; which makes it a great place to grab a bite if you're out shopping in that area. They have a very diverse menu of sushi, tepenyaki and and poke bowls to choose from. The dining area is dimly lit with a nice, easy listening play list in the background. What surprised me the most was that there was a bar in here as well. It's divided from the main dining area, which is nice. There are not many cozy places to grab a drink in this area outside of the chain restaurants nearby. The bar has some good selections, and there's a TV if you want to watch a game or just meet up with someone to hang out for a while. The food was great! We had three different rolls, and all were delicious. The miso soup is remarkable and you'll probably want more of it.The service was friendly and attentive as well. Definitely don't underestimate Kumori when you're in the area...I'll definitely be coming back."

I'm leave this place a 2 star. I have visited the other location off 151. Not sure what the servers have to do in the behind the scenes but doesn't seem that this company is about service. Look like the servers has to make there own alcohol drink. Sushi ismade waiting for 5 to 10 before the server is able to bring it you. We got the kumori rice, Ramen soup, Alaskan roll, firecracker roll. Food was ok meat seem to be over cooked, sushi was good. Place just need better service

So I’m new to the area and I really wanted to enjoy some sushi this place was right around the corner from me so I decided to give it a try. I got two sushi rolls and they both taste the same I should have read the volcano roll cause they are made completely different here and that was my fault. But it’s just missing authenticity I guess it’s like no love was put into it. But the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. I would probably give it another try.

This restaurant used to be a good choice, but not anymore. The facilities are in disrepair, the service has declined, and the food is truly disappointing. I ordered the yakisoba, and it was the most pitiful-looking dish I've ever encountered, completely lacking in flavor. The only reason I’m giving it a two-star rating is that the server was pleasant, though not very attentive. Unfortunately, that seems to be the norm here now. It used to be quite busy, but these days it's mostly empty. I understand why. View menu

UPDATE: I had my first dinner at Kumori! I've only been for lunch before, and it was just as delightful! I tried the Angel and Midori rolls, and they were fantastic! My husband had the teriyaki beef udon bowl, and we ordered a calamari appetizer and vegetable tempura. My nephew enjoyed shrimp tempura. I also had a delicious blood orange margarita! Our waiter was incredible—very helpful with the menu and provided great service! Sushi is one of my favorites, and this place never disappoints. Be sure to check them out!

My husband and I were wanting sushi but wanted to try a new spot. Kumori was down the street and did not disappoint. The inside has a chill and modern design. The menu provided so many options: apps, sushi, bowls, salads, everything! Our server’s namewas Victoria and she was wonderful. She gave us some great recommendations (Fiji roll and rock shrimp roll — YUM! , made sureeverything came out delicious, and that our drinks were always full. I also just have to give kudos to the fact that Kumori usesbiodegradable straws!!

Kumoris is very hitting or Miss, when it comes to eating here. Third times when service is quick, the food is great and everything Meets expectations. However, unfortunately, it is not the most reliable place for service or food. This last go around the service was okay, and the food was good. I'll be at 1 small problem. For the price Restaurant charges for the food. There are definitely better options out there that are less questionable. I still eat Here because the sushi is good. I wouldn't really recommend it but I wouldn't tell anybody to not come. View menu

Recently came here for lunch and everything was great until I checked my bank statement a few days later. I save my receipts and make sure to write in the tip and total on the customer copy as well. While checking my statement I realized the waiter had left himself a much bigger tip then what I had originally left which was already generous. This place lacks integrity and I won’t be back. I did call and the manager refunded me the entire tip but the waiter committed theft and that just didn’t sit right with me. Check your statements no matter where you go!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The rolls were average, and the noodles were unappetizing. The service left much to be desired; we barely saw our waitress. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes for our drinks (two waters and two sodas), and it took another 15 minutes before anyone took our food order. When the food finally arrived, it was barely warm and so overcooked that it had a rubbery texture. To top it off, there was an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. While I would normally leave a tip regardless, an 18% charge felt excessive given the service. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience.
