"If you haven 't been... go. If you 've been once... go again. It 's different and better every time. The cocktail lounge is cool, hip and funky without being pretentious. The team is knowledgeable, friendly, and beyond talented in their ability to match a cocktail to your particular tastes (e.g. You know what I feel like? ... The cocktails? Visiting multiple times is a must so you can try each of the offerings on their menu (which changes periodically . Each offering on the menu is remarkably complex, layered, and accessible. Every cocktail begins with one or more of their spirits, all of which are crafted onsite in gleaming copper and stainless steel at the attached distillery. They are mixed in front of you with fresh juices, teas, and bitters (again, all made onsite . I have been a regular, and I always have a little anxiety when the menu changes, and I have to say goodbye to old favorites. It usually takes no more than one or two visits to fall in love with the new, thematic offerings. Take some time, soak up the ambiance, chat with your bartender, nibble on a charcuterie board. Don 't leave without buying a bottle to take with you. The whiskey is beyond compare and the gins (all three of them! are sublime. As the weather grows chilly, the German herbal liqueurs are perfect in front of the fire. I keep a stock of The Pfeffersack and Pfefferminz as thank yous and gifts for friends. For those special people, a bottle of Rabbit in the Rye (pour an ounce and breathe deeply all is well . Pro tip, the bottles themselves are a work of art and make a great vase or a vessel for olive oil or home made maple syrup. So. "Visited this large sports bar on a Monday toward the end of the lunch rush. I was surprised how busy it was, but the owner told me that business was normal, or even a bit on the light side for a Monday, which is the least busy day of the week. Impressive! Note that by the time I took most of the pictures the rush was over. The venue is quite large, and able to accommodate large groups with ease. Lots of big screen TVs. I heard that local TV stations visit frequently during the football season. This place would be on my short list for watching a Vikings game. They have an arcade style game room with a TV, table and a couple of chairs, so if you need to amuse the kiddies and keep an eye on them, you’re all set. I ordered some bar food a chicken sandwich and fries. And a beer. I was slightly disappointed that my favorite local beer Surly Furious was not available, having recently been ousted in favor of Bell’s Two Hearted. The food was fine: chicken was well cooked, moist and tender, and a generous portion to boot. The fries were just how I like them gentle with the deep fryer and seasoning. I discussed the menu with the owner and he mentioned that their pasta dishes were especially good. I’ll come back for supper one o0f these days and give those a try. COVID: the staff all wore masks, and at one point I saw the owner gently admonish a customer for not wearing his mask while he was walking."

"If you're looking for a great sushi restaurant in the uptown area, you must visit Kiku Bistro. I have ordered delivery online many times, but decided to dine in at the restaurant this time. There is convenient street parking right in front of the restaurant, and you can pay using the MPLS Parking app. The atmosphere is relaxed with dim lighting, and we were seated next to the sushi bar. Instead of traditional menus and a server, we were instructed to scan a QR code to view the menu and place our order on the website. While it was a bit confusing at first, it was convenient as we could order without waiting for a server to return to our table. The staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly. I particularly enjoyed their unique selection of cocktails, such as the rum-based old fashioned. I will definitely be returning to dine in at Kiku again soon!"
