"If you’re ever in Macon, you have to go see Richie at Downtown Grill! What a gem! One of the best meals we’ve had in years. We sat at the bar and had a great time chatting with Richie. Bourbon selection was on point, we had the scallop fettuccine and NY strip and both were fantastic. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!"

"My girlfriend and I went here for a fun date night and had a great time. First and foremost I am going to talk about their $68 16oz Ribeye Steak special. The steak was served with goat cheese mash potatoes and those were AMAZING. As for the steak itself, it was completely bland! It was served with sauce on top and you could not even taste the sauce. The steak itself was tender though but did not make up for how flavorless it was. I enjoyed their signature Dovetail burger which was served with fries. The burger itself was amazing, the bacon jam was sweet and was countered with pickles which was a good combo. The fries were pretty good and had some great seasoning. We got a side of Mac n Cheese which was made with aged cheddar cheese. If you enjoy aged cheese then I recommend getting it. Overall great experience besides the steak. "this margaritas is on the campus of the mercer university in the mercer village. they had a good selection of items in the menu. the waiting staff was a little sluggish first, but better. eating was good and timely brought out. no long waiting time. the table we were sitting on was not super clean, there were eating on the menu and the floors were a little slippery when they were fucked with a greasy mop. Otherwise, eating was good and no other problems."

"Passing through town and had to stop in to one of our favorite places in middle GA. Jam-Pups to start we’re fantastic as usual. Make sure you extra remoulade sauce, cause it’s so good! I got Captain Lee’s combo basket with fried shrimp and fried grouper. Get some buffalo sauce on the side. (Great flavor). My son got a Fried Shrimp Po-Boy. He said it was delightful. Enjoy this place folks, it’s a gem! Congrats to Lee and Kelly! Your place is amazing. If you are interested in a drink? See Darren or Alex. Great folks in the bar area. "Our experience at the restaurant got off to a rocky start. I understand that they were busy due to a large crowd from a nearby show, but we waited over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, which was rather disappointing. Once we were seated, it took a while for our server to come to our table. However, when she finally arrived, she was very attentive. My cocktail was just average, but the calamari was delicious, although the portion felt a bit small. Unfortunately, when our main courses arrived, my risotto was nearly inedible due to the excessive salt. Luckily, the dish was served with a salmon filet, which I could enjoy instead. Overall, while the restaurant had a charming atmosphere and our server was pleasant, I would choose a different place if I return to Macon."
