"Wanted to love this place based on other reviews and beautiful view. Met my two adult children for lunch on a long Holiday weekend. Beautiful surroundings but not a great experience . Service was very slow, both a long wait for a waiter, long wait for non alcoholic drinks and water and then super long wait for food. Food was average beautifully presented but luke warm at best (as if it hadn 't been reheated long enough or had been sitting waiting especially long at wherever it had been prepared). Finally took at least 20 minutes to pay and that was after tracking the waiter down from across the dining space ! Probably better for drinks/coffee/tea or when you have at least 1 1/2 2 hours for a lite lunch. Again, didn 't hate it and magnificent view, but felt like it needed a lot more attention to detail. Won 't be back."

The Mandarin Oriental Lobby Lounge is a great place for a specialty martini and delicious small plates. The lollipop chicken wings, fried rice and wagyu burgers with parmesan fries were really delicious my recent visit. Service was excellent as well. Beautiful view. Nice ambiance. Have been there several times and never disappointed.

My friends and I traveled from the UK to celebrate 50 years of friendship, and we chose this restaurant for its incredible view. We were not disappointed! The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. The only downside was that it was a bit hard to find, but that didn’t take away from the overall experience. I would definitely return if I’m ever in New York again.

My friends and I traveled from Britain to celebrate our 50-year friendship, and we chose this restaurant for the occasion. We were not disappointed! The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. The only drawback was that it was somewhat challenging to locate, but that didn’t detract from our overall experience. I would definitely return if I'm ever in New York again. View menu

As always, the view from the 35th floor of the Mandarin Oriental at the Time Warner Center was spectacular! I was pleased to see the menu had changed and now includes more healthy, vegetarian options. Securing seats near the window was the start to a lovely lunch. Pricing is crazy high, but it's worth the treat on holidays and special occasions. I would recommend weekday specials/happy hour for locals who could make the Mardarin a more frequent destination.

We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday during our first trip to NYC, staying at the Mandarin Oriental. I decided to preorder online, which turned out to be a great idea, as we were given a fantastic window seat with a view of Central Park. The friendly staff surprised us with a birthday dessert of chocolate-covered strawberries, which was a lovely touch for our special occasion. Everything was perfect, and we are grateful for such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

I had a reservation at 12:30 for what I thought was a 'tea time' experience. Unfortunately, I later discovered that you actually have to book that directly through the hotel. I admit it was my oversight, but the reservation process could have been clearer about this requirement. Instead, we ended up having lunch, which was disappointing—mediocre and quite expensive. The views were nice, and the lobby lounge was quiet, but overall, I was unimpressed and wouldn't return, even for tea time. View menu

I had a reservation for 12:30, thinking it was for "tea time." However, it's important to read the fine print and note that you need to book this experience directly through the hotel. The view was lovely, but it would have been less misleading if the information had been more clearly outlined during the booking process. We also had lunch there, which was a more subdued and moderate experience, albeit on the pricier side. The lobby lounge was quiet and pleasant, but I wouldn’t return for tea time because it didn’t leave a strong impression on me.

We each ordered a bento box, which was tasty and satisfying, although the food arrived somewhat cold. Our waiter seemed to overlook us as well, neglecting to offer water or check in after our meals were served, despite walking by our table several times. We ultimately had to ask a different waiter for our check after finishing our meal some time earlier. The rest of the waitstaff was very attentive, however. Despite the cold food and inattentive service from our waiter, the charming ambiance and stunning view made for a pleasant and memorable experience.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
