"This cozy, standing-room-only sandwich shop has been a beloved fixture in Belmont for years. The owners, who are always present, bring a nostalgic vibe to the place. They personally select and cut their own meats, stacking them on amazing breads and topping them off with fresh ingredients. They've switched to a different supplier for their Mortadella and have apologized for it, as it didn't meet their high standards. Their delicious garlic spread serves as a signature sauce that enhances every sandwich. Even better, they've managed to keep their prices stable over the years. They only accept cash, are closed on Sundays, and the seating is quite limited, but every day at noon, there’s a line out the door. That really says it all!"

I've eaten Hot Pastrami sandwiches from San Francisco to Seattle to New York. Taking NY out of the equation Lorenzo's is by far the best! Be sure to bring your bib with you too. I highly recommend Lorenzo for any of your sandwich favorites. View menu

Growing up in the 80s as a teen in the neighborhood, this was the best sandwich shop ever. Loved the bread, meat and especially the sauce. Today in 2020s, it's been hard for me to catch this place open. The shop seems to have a short schedule but I'm still not giving up and will keep trying.

that is a local experience. check the hours, get there early and expect them to wait for their sandwich. they sell almost daily from a ground, I mentioned that this is an experience? turkey club and the truthahn and cranberry are both fantastic and they have the best Dutch crisper bread. fun.
