Good food and nice atmosphere, I tried the ginger fried chicken with brown rice, and it was delicious ? . One thing is they only accept cash or Amex?

Good prices and good food, the ginger fried chicken was good, also the curry chicken was really good, the pineapple fried rice was not good, didn?t like it. Good location

The atmosphere was cool , food was nothing special the Irish breakfast I ordered was disappointing . The service was not all that great. Server only checked on our table once and it took forever to get our drinks . I mean why did we have to wait 10 min for 3 beers and a Thai drink?

I went to this restaurant a few times and walked by it almost every day. The food is great!. One day when it was closed I walked by it, and I saw the metal gates covered in graffiti and thought it looked uniquely New York. This location at 196 Elizabeth is great character for the neighborhood. It?s a horrible place and horrible service. The food is so bad and the server was like a zombie. The japanese food tasted like Thai food and they messed up our order. The place was so empty, yet they take forever to do everything. They are just chit-chatting by the counter. This place is cash only or Amex, but we weren?t aware until the bill came. Came on a Sunday afternoon just for takeout. The waiter said it would be about 10 minutes but we didn?t get our food, which was only 2 items, until 50 minutes to almost an hour later. Restaurant was mostly empty with no other orders being placed at the time. Considering the circumstances, an hour is way too long to wait for takeout. On top of that, the Pad Thai was way too sour it was almost inedible. Pad Thai should have sour notes especially with the lime, but overwhelming sour (before even squeezing the lime) shouldn?t be the only thing you can taste. The Chicken Satay was so so. Waiters weren?t completely rude, but they were definitely dismissive and uncaring, seemed like they didn?t wan...

Something about Lovely Day makes it so cozy, understated, and such a great place for dinner. My love for Thai food meant I have some very high expectations, and this place did not disappoint.It is hard to define Lovely Day in the first place. It is, for sure, not trendy. But despite its dim aging interior, it is not mundane either. In fact, the crowd we've seen is still overwhelmingly the young and hip Nolita type. They approved this over $60 brunch? This is the worst restaurant ever. I 've never left bad reviews or give little tip to restaurants, but this is beyond bad. We got seated outside (kinda far from the restaurant on the streets) before sunset and waited so long to receive our two dishes (it 's already dark outside at this point), waited over an hour. larger groups came after us got their food and finished way earlier than us. At first, we thought the food was okay but the decor was pretty interesting, we were having a good time. However, the shrimps in the fried rice tasted like nothing.
