"Great local fast food stop, pretty close to I-81. We visited on a Saturday evening during a journey along Interstate 81 and moved to a Kurb service parking lot. An employee arrived quickly and asked for our order. The menu was clearly printed on several pages of the building for easy reading, but without prices (no inflation update required). We ordered a Dude Burger, Zetten, Cheeseburger, Pommes and a few Sodas (Pepsi products, no coke). A few minutes later our food was delivered to the car, total it was $18 and we added a tip for the employee. Our burgers were great, Pommes and Deads were crispy and Pepsi was...Pepsi. We ate in the car and were on the road quickly. Overall a great place to stop for a quick bite and we will be back."

"This place looked pretty busy from the parking lot, but we were seated immediately inside ! The servers were lovely and attentive and the food was FANTASTIC. I'm not from Christiansburg so I assumed it would be similar to the American take on Mexican food that I've found in small cities, but everything was so fresh and beautifully prepared. My friend and I lingered over conversation and our server checked in frequently to make sure all was well probably because we were so busy talking we weren't eating! but we never felt pressured or rushed. It was quiet enough for chatting and it felt cozy and comfortable. Loved it!"

"Mockingbird is my favorite place to pick-up breakfast. They have the most amazing big bagels (they kind of remind me of warm soft pretzels . I also love their breakfast sandwiches (my favorite is the egg and cheese on potato sourdough, and I'll often get a loaf of this bread to go too . Their cinnamon rolls are delicious and giant (and vegan! . My favorite cookie is their citrus cookie (although I'm hesitant to mention it, because they're so popular they often run out, haha . I also love this place because they cater to both vegans vegetarians and meat-eaters (that way I can make both my vegan husband and my bacon loving father-in-law happy . Donna is always coming up with new veg-friendly recipes, like biscuits and gravy. Their bagel and lox is also fantastic (and a very generous portion . Mockingbird has also gone above and beyond on adapting their restaurant to COVID. You can easily order ahead on their website, then you just show up at your selected time and pick-up your to-go bag. I always feel like they are doing everything they can to ensure customer safety. We often order Friday for a Saturday morning pick-up, and it's become a small something to look forward to on weekends."
